"My lass never blow those off." San muttered, his voice getting smaller, word by word. Jooyoung didn't answer nor did the thing San didn't want to, instead, just left, after giving the boy a faint smile.
As she opens the door, a brunette-haired man jumps out from nowhere, startling the fragile girl. Jooyoung let out a squeak with a bit of jumping from her position while throwing colorful words mentally at the brunette, Jung Wooyoung.
"is Sannie alright?!" He asks, not caring about the startled girl. She was kind of disappointed, couldn't believe the man as he never addressed any concern towards her, even the tiniest one. Pretty egocentric?
He beamed a sheepish smile after noticing the condition of the girl, well, it is actually his plan to surprise the girl— with the words of Hongjoong, the girl is easily startled, or could say that she gets surprised with everything.
Wooyoung is known as the mischievous thief, a cunning enemy, and a prankster to his friends, so why not give Jooyoung a starter pack for his so-called friendship life? With his signature sly smirk, he pats the girl's back with force, seemingly beating up the poor muscles of Jooyoung on her back.
Could this man get more violent towards me? Jooyoung again threw colorful words only to her head as she witness the man disappear from her vision.
Jooyoung left the two peacefully. With that, she let her eyes scan her surroundings that are all in the shade of brown, and a flickering oil lamp hung at the walls. As if those brown walls are clear canvas or a theater, she imagined the possible scenarios that could make the poor San like that.
What did trigger him to do it?
What triggers him?
What made him do it?
What happened to him?
If only the walls could answer her, she wouldn't feel this way, like her head wrecks in half just to think, solve, cope with this stupid curiosity of hers that always gets her in trouble.
She kept staring at the wooden walls beside her, hoping that the very end of the wall could lead her to the right answer.
And it did.
Jooyoung throws back her head right after her face met a fairly solid chest topped with a white top, worn by the chicken man, Kang Yeosang. The two crashed at each other absentmindedly, both lost in their far horizon of thoughts, both taking concerns about San's condition.
Yeosang couldn't help but close his eyes for a couple of seconds, trying to calm his throbbing nerves with his hands up, lookin' like his praying for himself not to burst anger towards the fragile girl. But he really couldn't help sending darts of sharp glares at the girl.
"If you, lady just watched your step—"
"If you, man just watched your step—"
Silence...
Both had their orbs shaking in hesitation and embarrassment, avoiding each other's eyes. And when they did meet, they'd jump ever so lightly and then avoids once again.
"Pondering about San?" Jooyoung knocked the loud silence embracing the atmosphere. Which was responded to by Yeosang later than a casual conversation should be done.
Jooyoung was indeed curious since her eyes met the sight of poor San crying in her arms. "I know it is too much to ask and kind of intruding someone's privacy," she pulled a strand of her jet black hair behind her ear before letting her eyes bore at the dull ones of Yeosang's. "but do you mind telling me what exactly happened to him?" her voice was filled with the same curiosity and concern.
