"Why did you follow us?"
Seonghwa shifted his sight at the wooden ceiling of his room. He couldn't mutter any word as he hesitates to do so. Pupils shaking in evidence of his nervousness. His fingers clutched at the fabric of his purple blanket laying just by the top of his body.
Seonghwa was reluctant in returning the sight of the other but pulled some of his gut to do so and decided to turn his sight back to the boy. And to his surprise, Hongjoong's sharp eyes weren't interrogating, it is rather waiting.
"I want to be a pirate."
He simply says. But Hongjoong sees pass through the lie Seonghwa made. Instead of questioning further, he bobs his head and gave the injured man a faint smile.
"Hongjoong!"
Hongjoong's right eye twitched, hearing Wooyoung's call to him with no honorifics, knowing that the boy is younger just by his looks. Wooyoung has his fingers intertwined with another hand, a veiny hand. The cunning fox showed with a friend. A man with a pointy chin, almost sharing the same height as Wooyoung, oh wait... Maybe?
"We have a new recruit!" Wooyoung happily informed his captain.
Brushing off non-existent clouds of dust lingering on his brown top before bringing his chin up high— lookin' like an ambassador ready to introduce a royalty.
"Seo Changbin from Yongin. This man sailed at the seas for over twelve years of his life, a trusted cabin boy of captain Jeong of Gwangju." Changbin didn't know what to do, instead, he just bowed and forced a smile towards the two.
The cunning fox's brow quirked up and down, at such pace, showing lots of pride in his face. "what do you say?" Hongjoong on the other hand, together with the injured boy just beside him— had a boring look painted flat on their faces, bored or more like a judgemental look, especially Seonghwa, don't worry, they are judging Wooyoung not the other man.
"Alright." Hongjoong muttered out.
The smell of lamb skewers lingers along with the air, almost around the whole ship, making everyone's tummy grumble in hunger. The surgeon of Whalien 52 also cooks for everyone, Captain RaMon is really a great keeper.
A knock knocks them out from their delicious imaginations, seemingly tasting the lamb skewers just with its alluring smell.
A man with cotton candy pink hair comes into their view. His plump pink lips went thin because of his toothy grin, along with his eyes turning crescents— to be honest, he look a bit like Wooyoung, just a bit though.
"Good morning, Jin hyung prepared breakfast," he tilts his head a bit, probably indicating to come and join the crew to eat. "don't be shy and join us."
The famous Park Jimin of Busan, also known as the Jewel of Whalien 52, has an enchanting charm, that no matter what gender you have you'll be whipped for him— is inviting them to eat morning food along with the other respected crew.
It is a thing to everyone, but Wooyoung always had his eyes for the senior. Not romantically, but rather adoration, idolization.
Wooyoung found a lot of similarities between him and the senior, the looks, the cunning personality, the love for jewels and gold, the height— Jimin is an inspiration, well, every crew member of Whalien 52 is.
Wooyoung happily bowed and thanked the senior as Jimin is ready to leave. "He looked so beautiful," Wooyoung muttered underneath his breath, but even in his tiniest voice, his words were still audible as being loud is in his nature.
"Jooyoungie!"
Jooyoung snapped her head towards the person who called her name, it was Wooyoung, who is trailed by Yeosang. He sat beside the girl while his lips curved into a smile.
"How are you doing, Ms. surgeon? Did you miss me?" Wooyoung leaned closer to his so-called surgeon, bringing up his chin, smiling ever so brightly. "is Hongjoong alright? Haven't heard any word from him since we step inside the ship."
Crash
Hearing that statement made Wooyoung upset, do you know the feeling of getting hit by a bottle of rum in the head, and that rum is Hongjoong while the bottle is Jooyoung's words. He is talking about himself, but the girl would talk about something else. A sigh was breathed out from his mouth, showing such frustration.
Speaking of Hongjoong, the golden boy comes into her view. "There," Wooyoung spat out. "your lovely Captain, go and make lots of love with the only person you care!" Wooyoung slammed the table, making the silverware clang against the wooden table, shifting himself to a different seat.
You dramatic bi— "Good day everyone!" a man with bright features dances their way through everyone's view, his orange hair goes bouncing a bit as he hops.
"is everyone alright? I see some having gloomy faces." he quirks his brow at the still upset Wooyoung. Wooyoung forced out a chuckle, that seemingly went dry. "Hoseok is my name, nice to meet every one of you!" he smiles at everyone, clasping his hands together.
Jung Hoseok of Gwangju, also known as the Hope and Quartermaster of Whalien 52, is truly a hope to everyone as his Bright smiles and bubbly personality could easily ease you from your worries but is also a very dangerous pirate that will leave you Hopeless till your eyes met his sharp ones. Basically, you'd want him to be your subordinate instead of your opponent; he entertained everyone, especially the dramatic Wooyoung himself.
Everyone was seated at their own respectable seats. But after everyone had their butts flat at their seats, none of them spoke.
The silence was eerily deafening. Even a clang from the silverware or a buzz from a fly could barely accompany the suffocating silent atmosphere. It is true that Wooyoung alone makes the place so full with his high-pitched voice, but now, none was ready to break the sharp silence.
Everyone could feel it, but none dared to speak about it. Except
"Hyung,"
The youngest of Whalien 52, Jeon Jungkook, spoke with the tiniest voice he has. His lower lip trembles a bit as he feels odd fright flowing in his body like it is his new velvety blood. He leaned closer to the respected Captain.
"I feel something wrong."
Everyone feels it, not just the young pirate, which is old for the rookie pirate crew of Hongjoong— but it is the point is clear.
"Taehyung, do you hear something?" Jimin asked the charismatic Pied Piper, who is currently playing with a mosquito that kept biting his bare legs. The goofy Pied Piper began to keep his ear hearkened at the seas whooshing against the bottom of their huge ship.
He sat straight from his seat and continued observing the sound of the cold blue sea. He the Pied Piper has a very clear and cunning hearing ability, like a bat you'd say. But introducing another character isn't the topic right now, it is—
"navies."
his hand gripped at the slim flute of his.
"where?"
Jimin rubbed circles at the back of the musician, feeling him tensed, well, seems like everyone needs a rub at the back as every each of them is taut.
"everywhere."
