"San."

Grand...ma?

"Sanjook, my child."

What...

"Sannie!"

A curved but friendly tone wakes Sannie up.

"You look like you're in a deep sleep and it hurts my heart to see you cutting off your beautiful dream, but it is already noon, you need to go up and take your food already!"

Sannie snuggles his way through his stuffed toys, shaking his head as a no to his waker's request for him to go up already.

"No... The sun is not yet rising..."

Well, that is not true. They are literally in jail inside a ship, inside a cave-

"Grandma is going to be very mad. Wake up, now.

What-!

San takes his time to flicker away from the confusion and weights in his eyes that stop him from waking up.

Grandma...?

He scans the old woman before him. He sees a very lively sweet old lady smiling towards him dressed in a long dress and comfortable straw hat.

Aren't you and grandpa... gone?

"Choi San."

It...

It is really them. They are completely fine.

Was that only a dream?

"Grandma, are you really... here?"

His grandmother couldn't help but snap her head backward with a silly chuckle humming away from her mouth.

"Do I look like somewhere else to you, my son?"

She laughs after replying to her grandson with a little joke.

But San is very confused.

"Was it only a dream, grandma?"

With a tilted head, San continues to peer at his grandmother. He never had a chance to brush off his confusion as there was no answer given nor an explanation.

"What dream? My dear son? Tell me, there must be a lot of things bothering your mind."

His grandmother sat carefully at the bed of his grandson and caressed his back to ease him on whatever he is feeling right now.

"I was on a trip with my pirate crew! We... we are only, actually, starting our journey but a lot has already happened. Like ka-boom! Splash! Rawr! Poof!"

San was always a fan of expressing his thoughts merely by sounds. He was trying to re-enact what he witnessed with his fingers playing like a firm and decipher-less movement of a puppet held by an amateur puppeteer. But it was only him who understood.

"Realy, my son? That is very great! Would you mind telling me the names of your crewmates?"

"Yes! They are actually a lot!"

Blank

"Wait grandma, okay?"

Empty

"Sure honey, take your time."

Dull

"I... don't remember..."

Tears were seemingly piling up at the well of his eyes, ready to trickle down as he was too sad about him not remembering the people that gave him joy and so much experience even if it was really just a dream.
