The bright canvas, also known as the sky, was now painted with dark colors of blue and more, which completely resembles the word night. The moon is already shining to its fullest. Just like Hongjoong, full of worries. will he be able to find his sister?

If the moon or even the stars could be generous to him, he wanted to ask them to light the way through his precious sister. Anxiety attacks Hongjoong, what if she died? What if she was injured? What if she's calling out my name and I was not there to save her? He wouldn't forgive his small self if she did die.

Curse those pirates.

His eyes were now dangerously sharp. It is already night and dark, but Jooyoung could still witness his eyes burning in flames. She remembered herself from Hongjoong's actions, how her eyes were furious in finding information about a certain group of pirates, how desperate she is finding someone. And with that thought, her lips curved into a faint smile. She flinched noticing the stupid smile painted on her face. Why would I smile at this? Hongjoong lost his sister, and I am here thinking about my similarities with other people? Aren't I pathetic? Her nails painted red marks at her palm, what a foolish thought.

"calm your nerves, I see it popping out." she joked, but that didn't calm down the boy, the boy that was still lost in his own far horizon of thoughts. Jooyoung's smile twitched, feeling embarrassed that he did not react.

"she was just playing with her dirty rag doll." Hongjoong spoke, His tiny hands were trembling. "and I teased her by playfully throwing it out from the house." his eyes started to water, he brought his chin up, trying to contain the well of tears in his beautiful eyes— shining beautifully, but it shines in sadness.

The coldness of the breeze didn't help his trembling figure, his lips are already seared and dehydrated, he really pushed himself to the core. Nor the two ate meal since the morning, both have their own duties. His voice cracked a bit, forcing the words that is stuck in his throat. He continued, with overflowing emotions. "and then I heard a loud bang, bullets, screams, especially a cry," he grabbed his hair, showing such frustration. "from the only family I have left, Yeseul..." he once again cried.

Joyoung squeezed his hands, which were still clasped with hers. "Hey, it's not your fault." Hongjoong shook his head, wiping his tears with the sleeves of his top. "it's the rag doll's fault." he burst a loud laugh, making the girl confused. Hongjoong expected to hear it's the pirate's fault or no one wanted it to happen but A rag doll? He is happy that he found a doctor with a kind heart that will lift his spirits and lift his lips— turning it into a big smile.

A small cry was heard, it was accompanied by a deep soothing voice. A familiar and unfamiliar voice rings in Hongjoong's ears. "I was trying to find my doll and then I am here." her voice was so tiny that it can be barely heard. Jooyoung together with the boy look around, in hurry, trying to find the sound, well, that'll be difficult for the girl with only an ear accompanying her. "Do you know where your mother is?" there was a sudden pause, expecting that the girl must've shaken her head. But no, she didn't. "Hongie said that mother is buried under. And tiny bugs ate her flesh, Oh! That's why hongie hated bugs." That made Hongjoong cry and laugh at the same time.

He runs quickly, following the sound, like how his sister followed the rag doll. He embraced the little girl tightly, full of love and worry. He held her shoulder gently, facing her. "I told you that that rag doll is a trouble!" his voice pitched higher. "how is it my fault, you were the one who threw my doll!!" but the girl's voice pitched higher.

"I really hate you." the girl spat out, making Hongjoong laugh again with tears. He brushed her hair with his tiny fingers. "Don't worry, I also hate you" The place was filled with giggles. Jooyoung's giggle, Hongjoong's giggle, Yeseul's giggle, and 'the-unknown-guy''s giggle. Jooyoung spared a time looking at the guy, he has brown hair, brushed down, has thick brows, a small nose, and thin lips.

The man bowed politely and started introducing himself. "My name is Park Seo—" "Seojun hyung!" someone called him from a fair distance. His features weren't the same as his brother, for some reason they just look like a pal of each other or something that isn't blood-related. Seojun clasped his hands, giving everyone a bright smile. "can I invite you to have dinner with us?" he lurk his eyes around us, observing. His hand reached his nape, scratching it. "well you see, even if the pirates destroyed our house, we didn't lose a good cook."

Hongjoong insisted, it's pretty embarrassing to accept help from another victim, he didn't want to burden another family like before. He left without noticing Jooyoung. Her feet wiggled awkwardly and followed the happy boy. She shouted for him to wait, but he didn't. "what is your plan now?" she asked, finally catching the pace of the boy. He sighed, chewing his bottom lip. He seems to be clouded with too many thoughts.

"you?" Jooyoung raised a brow, kind of startled by the sudden counterattack. Why is he changing the topic? She crossed her arms at her chest, breathing out a deep sigh. "I am the first one to ask, Mister." Hongjoong laughed, muttering a small sorry before opening his mouth.

"I wanted to join the Royal Navy." His eyes were twinkling, not with the tears before, but with joy and such. Jooyoung didn't need to hear the whole story, she could decipher it just by looking at his beautiful orbs. They shine like hers when she talks about medicines or some other type of informative book. It was a dream that he seeks since he was young. They indeed share lots of similarities.

Jooyoung could feel the same desperate spirit glowing in him. The fire, also known as ambition, grew higher right at the moment those pirates destroyed their small humble town. Ambition to capture, to find justice, or to kill those pirates? That is the thing that Jooyoung couldn't decipher. Which also creeps her.

"But those pirates said it is boring," Jooyoung's head went up, her ear ready to receive the words Hongjoong will speak. She couldn't hide the feeling of enthusiasm and nervousness, she thinks that she knows what the boy will say next. And she was dreadfully right.

"that's why now I wanted to be the pirate king."
