aiden

"Aiden"

Aiden groaned at the sound, turning on his side and shoving head under the blankets .

A soft snicker made Aiden stir for a brief moment before going right back to sleep.

"Aiden"

"no!" Aiden muttered in his sleep, a frown creeping onto his sleeping face.

"AIDEN!"

Aiden shot up, almost falling off the bed in the process. He groaned, blinking the sleep from his eyes.

"What the fuck"

"I've been trying to wake you up for the past ten minutes" Asher grumbled, dragging Aiden out of bed and to the bathroom.

"Dude what the fuck. Let go of me" he shoved Asher's hand off his arm, running  hand down his face .

He waddled his way to the basin- don't ask why- groaning as he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

Letting out another groan, Aiden washed his face and lazily brushed his teeth.

He leaned forward to turn on the shower, scowling in pain when a sharp pain hit him in his side..

A while later the brunette stepped back into his room, a trail of steam following him out as he dried his hair with a spare towel.

He lazily slipped into his clothes which consisted of his usual sweats and hoodie (he was a lazy bastard, sue him) and put on his black converse before slowly making his way downstairs, not fully awake despite the hot shower he took.

The sounds of pots and pans hitting against each other filled Aiden's ears as he neared the kitchen.

Aiden lazily plopped onto one of chairs at the island.

"Good morning sunshine" Asher grinned, chuckling as his brother grumbled and slid lower in his seat.

He noticed his mother and father's absence at the table.

"Do you really threaten me with mom and dad?"

Ash smirked "It worked though, didn't it. Has anyone ever told you, you sleep like the dead"

Aiden rolled his eyes "Yes, you. Almost every fucking day" he mumbled the last part under his breath "let's skip today?"

"Unfortunately, I cannot. I have practice after school. Look on the bright side though, you get to see Nora"

Aiden perked up slightly at the mention of his best friend, failing to notice the way Asher smiled as he said her name.

He hasn't seen Nora since last week Friday and he wondered how she hadn't crossed his mind. He missed the girl with blue hair.

When Aiden first met her, he couldn't but think compare her Joy from the Disney movie Inside Out.

With her preppy, always happy personality and the blue hair, it made sense.

Aiden and Nora were nothing like. Like Asher, Nora was an adrenaline junky and a yapper and Aiden was well...Aiden. But somehow, for the past three years, they've been making it work.

After both boys had finished eating breakfast, they grabbed their bags and made their way out the house, double checking to make sure it was locked.

The drive to school was atleast twenty minutes long and Aiden soon found himself dosing off to the soft music playing in the background.

"Aidy come on, we're here" the sound of Asher's voice interrupted Aiden's short nap.

Aiden groaned as he sat up straight. He lazily rubbed his eyes, a small yawn leaving his lips as he did so.

Asher watched his brother with an amused smile "What time did you go to bed. You look like hell?"

"Gee thanks" Aiden snorted, running a hand down his face "I don't fucking know, probably around five"

"The evening?"

"the morning"

"Jesus Aiden you need to step heading to bed that late. You're fucking up your sleep schedule"

Aiden snorted, his lids slowly dropping "It's always been fucked up, dad"

"Oi, you can't fall asleep again" Asher frowned, unbuckling his seat belt and turning off the ignition.

"I'm not falling asleep Jesus. Quit nagging."

Shoving the car door open, he grabbed his bag and slowly made his way to the godforsaken building.

Deciding that Aiden wasn't walking fast enough, Asher grabbed him by the arm and pulled him along "Come on sunshine. To school we go!"

"You're way too fucking loud " Aiden muttered but allowed himself to be dragged, too tired to walk on his own without falling and sleeping on the ground, which, sounded very tempting to him, mind everyone

That's it, he decided, no more staying up late for me.

But he knew himself well enough to know that he just talking a load of crap.
