Roger pulled over.
"Wait actually?" he asked coming back to where you and Freddie sat.
Freddie started coming towards.
"Oh it's fucking wet, I just put my hand in" he started gagging.
"Freddie maybe you want to come upfront?" Roger asked.
Freddie quickly did so.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" You could clearly see his fingers. "1."
"Which finger?" He asked. "Your middle finger."
"Oh my lord she can see!" You tried to remember when Roger was fucking you, could you see?
You could, you remembered.
"Looks like true love saved the day again don't you think my dears!" Freddie said.
You took in your surroundings. It was so glorious to see again and not have the internal pain of never seeing everything perfectly clear.
"This would make for a good song," Freddie said.
"Isn't it crazy, you can write thousands of millions of songs about love and never run out of ideas?" Freddie started singing a tune. A slow one.
Roger leaned in to kiss you. You kept your eyes open. Savoring the sweet taste of Roger and the sweet satisfactory victory of kicking your vision impairment in the ass.
"Cum stains in the van. Love is in the air. People watch you fuck, it's a beautiful thing" he sang it in a tune sort of like Life Is Real just slower. You had no idea what the Life Is Real song is since it hasn't come out yet and that's five albums away.
Roger looked at Freddie as he wrote down words in the notebook he always carried.
"You aren't actually writing this down are you," You asked.
"What else do you think I'm doing dear?" You look at him and laugh as he continues to write stuff down, pausing to think once in a while, then writing.
"We must celebrate this! Go somewhere! See stuff!" Roger said.
"Let's go to the movies tomorrow!"
"Then we could go to the observatory!" He says. "Oh, it sounds amazing!" You say.
It was getting pretty dark as you started up the van, ready to drive home.
"Roger, would you mind dropping me off at Leah's house please?"
"Sure of course," he said, turning a corner.
You knocked on the door.
Leah unlocked the three locks she always insisted on having.
"I'm not gonna live with the possibility of letting a man break in here come in and you know..." She told you when she installed them.
You agreed and when along with it since it truly wasn't causing harm in any way.
"Y/N what?" She answered the door with a cold stare. She leaned against the door frame. Her eyes seemed red. Was she doing drugs? No, she was crying, she wiped her eye as she saw you stare, unaware yet you had vision but forgetting for a second.
"That's a cool plant back there, what is it a snake plant?"
"What?" She asked and you smirked at her.
Over the 17 years, you have been friends, you almost developed a language with your eyes. You could look at each other and just know.
"OH MY GOD! You got your sight back!" You nodded.
"Come in you slut!" she said punching your arm, "excuse me?"
"You kicked me out just for some intimate time with Roger," she said.
"Are you gonna get over that?" You said.
"I'll never get over I had a crush on him FIRST and now you're getting married to him." You laughed. "Nice to see you too bestie."
"Come sit down," she said.
You came inside and sat on the green velvet couch.
It was your grandmother's couch. You knew her quickly before she died of suicide.
She got sucked into some bad scheme with bad people, couldn't take the pressure. "I can feel them watching me, I can't take the eyes." She said it court date when she finally was in a safe position to report them.
"Tea?" she asked. "I'm good thanks."
"If you ask someone if they want tea and they say no, you can respect that. Why not respect the no of someone who doesn't want to have sex ed." Lesson 18. Respecting consent, Sex Ed class, 8th grade.
"Where's Marnie?" You asked. "Oh, she's out with a friend." Her voice cracked in sadness.
Leah came and sat next to you, a steaming cup of tea in her hand.
"Oh, well friends are nice." You said.
"I guess so." She says, a hint of 'ask me what's wrong' in her voice and a gallon of sadness.
"What's wrong?" She sighs.
"Well she keeps hanging out with the friend who's a girl and I'm not trying to be some possessive girlfriend it's just-" She took a quick sip of the tea. It probably burned her mouth.
"She's becoming more distant."
"Do you know the friend?" You asked, concerned for your friend.
"Y/N, I think Marnie is cheating on me."
