Hey Loves! I'm really sorry I haven't been posting a lot of stories. I've been going on a lot of trips so I haven't found time to write but this will be the last story posted for the next week or so. I'm sorry but it will return to regular soon! Thank you all for reading this story it means a lot!

"Hey, Marnie." You said in your usual depressed voice.

"Hey, love is everything ok? What are you in for?" She asked. Her wedding ring sparkled in the overhead lights.

"We think-" You looked at Roger, "I think I'm infertile."

He gave your hand a tight squeeze as you let out the truth.

"Well alright let's run some tests to see." She said.

It was probably her job to be in a good mode.

"I promise it'll be ok." She loudly whispered. You gave her an uncertain nod as she brought gizmos and gadgets out to supposedly test your fertility.

"You know as a couple of the same sex, we can't really conceive a child of our own. Now, this day and age, it's not that common but I betcha give us pft 50 years and it'll be the norm."

"Can you guys actually have sex?" Roger asked. You elbowed him and he winced. Marnie laughed.

"It's fine. Yes, we actually can have sex." You laughed in embarrassment and slight awkwardness.

"Now I know you meant no harm behind that question but if you were a stranger I would've told you to mind your own business so just- just be aware of that." She said with a raised eyebrow and he rubbed the nape of his neck.

"What the..." You heard Marnie mumble under her breath as she looked at the blood she had drawn moments earlier from you.

WARNING I'M NOT A DOCTOR I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE IF THIS IS A THING SO IT MAY NOT BE MEDICALLY ACCURATE IN THE REAL WORLD

"Excuse me." She said taking the petri dish that held the sticky red liquid and walked out of the room.

You and Roger exchanged puzzled looks.

He wrapped his arm around you and you leaned into him, burying your head.

"I promise it'll be ok and I'm proud of you for coming here."

The doorknob clattered a few minutes later as Marnie opened the door and walked in.

You sat up, ready for the results.

"So it looks you aren't totally infertile because you were pregnant." She said looking up at you. Her blonde hair came down around her face, covering the arms of her tortoiseshell glasses. They weren't actually made out of tortoise shaped into square glasses but they had that strange tan and brown marbled effect.

"What do you mean was pregnant?"

"You have a fetus blood cell in yours. Well, not to be dark but a dead fetus." She said pulling a sympathetic smile over her smooth pale-skinned face. Her freckles wrinkled as her cheeks her drawn up in the smile.

"What does that exactly mean?" Roger said as you kept your mouth shut in shock. "Well it means, Y/N had a miscarriage."

"When?" You spit out. They both looked at you.

"Last week by the looks of it but it could've been anywhere from a month to a few days ago I'm not exactly sure." She said.

"But that's-well that's-"

"Impossible." Roger finished your sentence.

"Well with the amount you guys have been...Uhm trying it doesn't sound so impossible." She stuttered, awkwardly.

"The one day. No that's, no no no." You muttered, chewing on your fingernail.

It was an old and bad habit. Your dad did it, he blamed his dad for doing it, and you do it as well. You picked it up when you were young and only did it when anxious.

One of the signs you now get when you're about to faint. Today you took your pills though.

"Love, what is it?" Roger said, wrapping his arm again around your shoulders.

"The uhmm ooh it was-" You were trying to remember the day.

"LAST TUESDAY!" You said finally finding it in your mind. A week and two days ago. That would make it Thursday.

"What was last Tuesday?" Marnie asked. Roger seemed to be thinking.

It came to him.

"You were out of tests so we skipped it cause you thought it was gonna be negative so you didn't care to go out," Roger said.

"Then would I have lost it the day after?" You asked confused.

"It's possible yeah. It would also make sense."

"Then why didn't I get a positive the day before when I took a test?" That didn't make any sense to you.

It died a day after the fetus was fertilized? That's just unusual and weird. No way that was even possible.
