Here's a beautiful picture of Freddie and what I believe is his cat Goliath although I could be wrong.
"Good night I love you," Roger said as you continued to huddle on your sliver of the bed. Your knees closed up to your chest.
You didn't respond.
"So that's fucking it, huh? Just gonna give up like that. Go mute, never enjoy life again?" He said in an angered tone.
You shrugged your shoulders, not even turning over to face him. You also averted his gaze in the mirror next to you.
"Fine whatever. Enjoy your silent life." He said and got up out of the bed.
He threw on an unbuttoned shirt he had previously flung on the ground to cover up his besides underwear naked body.
You wanted to ask where he was going but continued to just lay there.
"And if you even care, I'm going to Brian's house. So don't even bother to talk to your husband." You tried to keep in your tears.
"THE HUSBAND THAT HAS ALWAYS SUPPORTED YOU THROUGH THIS WHOLE THING! THE HUSBAND THAT LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY! THE HUSBAND YOU DON'T EVEN CARE TO TALK TO ABOUT WHAT YOUR THINKING!" He picked up his voice.
You sat up and opened your mouth, but nothing came out.
"Right. Go fuck yourself." He said and slammed the bedroom door, leaving you with nothing but your thoughts.
You lay back down and cried.
You muffled it into your pillow until you heard the front door slam and the walls shake from it.
After a while, it hurt to cry so you stood up and walked into the living room.
There was no moon tonight but many many stars.
"Do you ever wonder the secrets of the stars?" Leah asked.
"I think their loved ones who passed." Your thirteen-year-old self responded.
"I think they're unborn children," Leah said.
The two of you were laying in a grassy field, far, far, far away from your town.
Your parents were in the middle of a divorce and fighting.
Leah's mom was passed out drunk while her dad was fucking other women.
"Do you want kids L?" You asked. You turned your head to look at her.
You were laying down next to each other on the hill, hands intertwined.
It was only 10ish years ago but it felt like a far-away memory.
"God no, I hate children." She responded with a scoff.
"Well, I do. I think children are the best. Not now of course, but in the future when I'm older I think it would be so cool I could grow something of my own and keep it alive and give it a good life. To break the chain of monstrous parenting."
"Yeah until your child dies in a car crash from underaged drinking. Really Love, don't put yourself through that if you don't have to." You sighed and continued to look at the cold night sky that almost invited you in to swim in it.
You inhaled.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Freddie asked over the phone.
"Hi, Freddie." You respond, your voice slightly raspy after the 12 hours of not speaking.
"Hey darling what's going on?"
"Could I come over?" You asked.
"Sure Y/N. I'll be expecting you." He said and you could almost see him wink through the phone.
