"Well, I don't have any other ideas. You got any?" You said.
Roger and you were trying to figure out something fun to do this weekend. You've done it all before, what else was there?
You needed something romantic and fun. You both had similar interests and even so you would both step out of your comfort zones once in a while and you really needed something interesting to do.
You had a week before the tour so you were trying to have alone time and fun before it would be concert, bar, sex, practice, concert, bar, sex, practice, concert, bar, sex, practice over and over for a few months.
"What about that new place that just opened the uhm Tea Hotel or the Tea Park. I'm not-" Roger stuttered forgetting the name.
"The Tea House!" You said. It opened a few blocks away. You weren't sure what it was but it was advertised as romantic so it had to be something.
"Yeah! That place! We should book a reservation!" He said as you scrolled through the tv channels to see if anything was on.
"Hey look it's Chinatown! Remember when we watched that!" Roger pointed out the scene you skipped to.
"Oh yeah! Remember that," you said remembering the beach date you had many months ago. Probably a year at this point, everything from the past year with Roger flowed together in a blur of love, happiness, and a pinch of drama.
"Ok, I'll go call the place." Roger got up from the couch and said.
You were on the ground next to the tv. He went to the small stack of mail you would pile up. It was all junk but it's finally coming in handy.
"Here it is!" Roger said from across the room in the kitchen where the pile was.
It had a Japanese-style roof on it, not a very popular thing in the '70s and in Europe. It looked beautiful though as you would cross a wooden bridge over a small moat that seemed to wrap around the building.
"Wow that's gorgeous!" you said as he showed you the flyer. It opened around two months ago and seemed expensive but it would be worth it.
"A spa house with hot tubs for two and severed with your choice of tea." Roger read a small caption printed on the bottom of the flyer.
"Wow, you know who would like this?" You asked. He smirked.
"Freddie?" You let out a small laugh as you said his name in unison. He went around you to the phone near the bay window and dialed the number.
The past two weeks have been great, or as great as it could be for your situation.
You tried hard to bury your feelings deep within you. As deep as you possibly could manage without getting stuck in the hole.
"Hi. My wife and I would like to make a reservation for your new spa house for this weekend."
You heard roger say. His voice always changed when talking to a person in real life to then talking on a phone. You heard little mumbles come from behind the phone.
They paused, then started talking again.
"Ok thank you so much. We will see you then." He said and hung the phone back on the receiver and sat down next to you, to where you moved on the couch. You didn't find anything good on, so now the room was silent besides the roar of cars going by on the road outside. And the next-door neighbors fighting again. They fought a lot and usual you could hear it.
A knock came from the door so you got up to go get it.
"Hey, Brian how are you? Come in." You said when you saw the tall familiar face standing upset at your doorstep.
"Lovely to see you as always Y/N." He said quickly towards you then walked over to Roger.
"Hey Bri, is everything ok?" Roger said as his friend towered over him.
"No, it's not. Freddie called, we need our album out two weeks earlier. Which means we need your song." Roger stood up in shock towards Brian's news.
"What? Why?" He said going to the kitchen to pour a shot. He grabbed three shot glasses and a bottle of alcohol. He poured each of them as Brian explained.
"Our new management needs it before the tour. If we release it two weeks earlier more people will get a chance to see our stuff before our big tour."
You took your shot and swallowed it back. The burn sensation fueling your interest in the conversation.
"But we are booked out of almost everything? Why do we need more?"
"Cause we are adding more tour dates," Brian said with a smirk.
"What? Even more? There are already 22 shows why the fuck would we need more than that? I mean come on...would people even buy more tickets?"
"They already did," Brian said his smile growing bigger.
"Wipe that dumbass smile off your face. What the hell are you talking about Brian?"
"We have a waiting list!" Brian exclaimed and both you and Roger's eyes widened. This was huge! All concerts sold out plus a waitlist, they were huge! They were damn near famous!
"Are you kidding me!" Roger said pouring more shots to celebrate.
"That's what I asked Freddie! He swears by it."
"Oh, that Trident management can suck it!" He said and you all downed your second round of shots.
"Ok well, I must go. Children struggles. Oh to be without kids, what a dream. Enjoy your evening." he said getting up to go.
After a few hours, the phone was ringing. You put down the spoon you were stirring the potatoes for dinner with and went over to answer it. Roger took over the potatoes.
"Hello?" You picked it up and asked.
"An inmate from the London county Prison is trying to connect you. Please press one to connect." The operator said. Savanna! You hadn't talked to them in a while, you were nervous to hear who they were though.
You dialed one and you heard the familiar noise of being connected to the phone.
"Hello, Sa-"
"Well, well, well looked who decided to pick up."
