Chapter 32

Giovanni

"How about you tell us why you were trying to kill Theo," I say to Zeniyah 

"Wait where's Junior?" she asks Sandro

"He's with Teresa," he answers

"Tell me why you were covered in blood first, are any of you hurt?" she says looking at Tony and Sandro who are busy eating

"NMOPH," Tony says with his mouth full making her laugh

"We had a blood bath, not our blood though," I say smirking while Zeniyah makes a gagging sound

"You gon have to shower bout 50 more times if you wanna lay beside me," she says with as much attitude as possible 

"We'll see mama," I say 

"So you gon tell me why you were covered in blood," she says rolling her eyes. I sigh before saying

 "People still think I'm dead in Italy, so now people here heard about it now someone tried to cross me, started walking around claiming they took over things for me," I say while eating

"So you...dealt with them," she asks

"Yup...ALL OF THEM," Sandro says, she looks at me and sighs looking away. 

"Listen I know you don't like what I do but I only ever kill if it's necessary," I say looking at her sincerely 

"Pfftttt," Sandro says before him and Tony burst out laughing.

"Wait so you killed how many of them just because they claimed they took over," she asks

"No...see the mafia is a family business, Sandro and Tony pledged their loyalty to me when I became Capo. That means if I die my cousin Marco is to take over, Marco was initially supposed to be Capo but his father kidnapped and tried to kill me. Now Marco is holding a massacred ball to announce himself as boss," I explain 

"The blood bath was to send a warning to him...unfortunately if he doesn't get the message we'll have to on the next flight to Italy," I finish

"NO, you're not going there again last time you went I almost lost you," Niyah says

"It's not optional I have to protect my family name princess," I say reasoning with her. She simply nods looking away.

"Ok, your turn what happened with you and Theo, and why'd you have a panic attack?" I ask

"First you have to promise you won't get mad," she says and I scoff in response. 

"Just tell me Niyah," I say sighing

"That girl that you saw run out with Theo," she says, and I nod gripping the table already knowing where this is going but I decide to let her finish

"I walked in on Theo fucking her in Alex's bed," Niyah finishes. The room goes completely silent for a minute and Niyah gets up slowly and walks towards the door. 

In a second it was chaos Tony and Sandro were in the kitchen grabbing the hidden guns and knife while I was rushing towards the dining room exit, Niyah had closed the dining room door and was blocking it. 

"MOVE ZENIYAH NOW," I yelled at her

"No sit-down," she says not moving. I try moving past her arms not wanting to hurt her and she continues to block the way.

"Bro can you move out of the fucking way NOW," I yell in her face

"No what about what Alex will say, you think she'd want him dead?" she asks

"Does it look like I fucking care move before I move you my fucking self," I yell. She steps forward, placing her hand on my chest but at this moment I don't care about that. I push her out of the way rushing towards the door with Sandro and Tony following close behind. 

Zeniyah

I sighed rolling my eyes before cleaning up the plates they left. I grab my stuff before hopping in my car and driving home. If he wants to act like an idiot and not think rationally he can talk to me when he has some sense. I order some Biryani and watch Rush Hour. About an hour later my phone starts ringing but I ignore it, it continues ringing for 2 minutes before I put it on mute. It just keeps vibrating until I get pissed off grabbing it. I see 6 missed calls from Giovanni, and 4 from Sandro and Tony. I pick up the phone calling back Tony wondering what happened. 

"Hello, Tony is everything ok?" I ask 

"We have to go, right now we're leaving for Italy, are you still coming?" he says 

"Now!??! Why?" I ask 

"Niyah I can't explain right now pack a bag I'll pick you up in 20 minutes," he says. I say ok before hanging up and throwing away the takeaway bowls. I get up running to my room and grabbing one of my already packed bags. I throw in a couple more things and slip on something comfortable for the plane ride. 

While I wait for Tony I take my garbage out to the chute since I'm not sure how long I'll be gone. Soon he texts me telling me to come down, I grab my keys, phone, and luggage and look back at my apartment one more time knowing it might be the last. I sigh heading to the elevator. 

The ride to the private airport was quick since Tony was practically going 85mph the whole time. We pull up and rush over to the awaiting jet which is ready for take-off. I hand a man my luggage as we enter off the stairs. I see Giovanni staring at me trying to make eye contact as I walk down the short aisle but I ignore him sitting a little further down. 

"So why are we leaving right now Tony," I ask

"When we got to Theo's place he was gone and the last thing on his computer was a flight booking to Italy. He also left behind his burner phone on the table...he's been in contact with Marco," Tony says. My eyes widen in shock. 

"Our suspicions are that he's going to help Marco take over then come after us, especially you, that's why we couldn't leave you behind," Tony says finishing

"Yayy to Italy we go," I say sarcastically 

Ok so I want to clear something up, a lot of you have been asking. Why the sudden change of heart about Theo. Giovanni never "liked" Theo per se as you can see in the phone call when Theo called Zeniyah pretty Giovanni snapped at him. Giovanni only saved him and called him a "brother" to make his sister Alex happy. I hope that clears things up.
