Giovanni

I drive leading us to Westway diner for brunch, we all settle into a large booth and order. While we're waiting for our food Niyah reaches her hand across the table to Theo, 

"Hi, I'm Zeniyah," she says smiling 

"Oh I know," he says blankly making her pull her hand back frowning, she mumbles something under her breath 

"What did you say?" Theo asks rudely, making me glare at him. 

"I said all you are shit at making first good impressions, Sandro yelled at me and called me a bitch, Alex disrespected me, Gio insulted me, and Tony practically tried to kill me and now you are just judging me," she says standing up for herself

"I'm not judging you, I know enough about you to draw my conclusions," he says

"What the hell does that mean-" she's cut off by the waiter coming by and beginning to serve us. 

"Theo just shut the fuck up please, it's her birthday," I growl at him 

"So Niyah what do you usually do for your birthday?" Tony asks her with his mouth full. 

"Ummm well before my mom died we used to have cake and I'd get some clothes I guess so the last time I celebrated was when I was like 17," she says frowning 

"Oh I'm sorry but this week is going to absolutely amazing for you," Alex says 

"This week?" she asks confused 

"OH yeah, Russo family tradition dictates that birthdays don't last a day but rather a week," I say while wiping some syrup off the side of her mouth. 

"How long have you and Giovanni been dating," Theo asks. I'm about to answer when Niyah speaks up, 

"We aren't dating," she says making me frown in her direction but her complete attention is on her blueberry waffles. 

"That's good, I might have someone for you Giovanni," Theo says with a smirk on his face. I glare at him from across the table resisting the urge to knock him out because I don't want to make a scene. 

"That's nice you should introduce them," Zeniyah says causing my mouth to hang open, I feel a pang in my chest. Not even going to lie that hurt. The table becomes extremely silent and we finish eating. 

After we're done eating it's about 2 pm and we walk out of the restaurant hand in hand. 

"So what do you feel like doing today princess?" I ask Zeniyah who simply shrugs 

"Fine, I know a place," I say knowing she loved looking at wonderous things.

"I think we'll head back home to spend time with each other," Theo says holding Alex's hand 

"I'm tired I want to go home," Tony says and Sandro agrees. This leaves me and my princess alone, even better. 

We get into my car and I tell Niyah to relax since it's a 45-minute drive to where we're going. 

"What's your friend's problem?" Niyah mumbles after a while 

"Well he likes knowing everything about everyone, so I guess he's upset there not much known about you," I answer her

"Sounds like you feel the same way," she says glancing at me. 

"Well..." I say causing her to sigh
