All I thought pine-play time lang kami ni Valerie but turns out, na-offend pala talaga siya. To make matters worse, today na 'yung filing ng COC namin but she didn't show up.

"Guys, okay na ba 'yung balloons?" I asked habang dinidikit na 'yung tarpapel.

"Last one, ate," Luigi said while pumping the pang-hangin ng balloons.

I nodded and asked Bjorn to help me make sabit the tarpapel. After class na kaya complete kami pero dahil pang-hapon si Luigi and Cashmere, we had to excuse them muna from their class.

"Wala pa ba si Bridgette?" Nate asked.

I looked around for her. We asked her kasi na maging lookout. As if on cue, bigla siyang dumating.

"Andyan na si Ate Valerie!"

My eyes widened and quickly went to my hiding spot. Ni-play na ni Shay—our peace officer—yung music sa speaker.

'Di ko nais na magkalayo tayo... Nagselos ka at nilayuan mo ako... Buhay nga naman, tunay bang ganyan... Bumalik ka naman...'

"A-Anong pakulo 'to?"

Bjorn escorted her sa chair sa gitna na surrounded ng pink balloons at confetti. "Nako, sinasabi ko sa inyo 'di niyo ko madadaan sa mga—"

"Tahimik ka nga lang, Ate Val," Bjorn said.

I am wheezing! Ngayon ko lang narinig si Bjorn like that! Val was still confused sa nangyayari but when the part of the song came na ginawan ng choreo ni Cashmere, it was our cue to show up.

The music faded tapos pumadyak si Nate ng two times before we all said, "Sorry na, Valerie. Pwede ba?" She sighed tapos umirap pa! My gosh, sinawayan ko na nga! Hirap ko kaya i-convince sumayaw!

"Salamat nalang sa lahat," Valerie said bago tumayo.

Natigilan kaming lahat. Was she... serious? Is this bitch for real?

She was gonna open the doorknob na sana pero she glanced at us.

"Magligpit kayo, ah," she said in a very cold tone. "Yang mga balloons at confetti, linisin niyo 'yan lahat. Kayo na nga 'tong may atraso, ang lalakas pa ng loob niyong magkalat—"

"Valerie, sorry na?"

Lumapit ako sa kanya. "Please na kasi? You know naman na we can't do this without you, diba?"

"Ano nga ulit?"

"Ugh, 'yan ka na naman! Whatever!"

"Ay, bahala kayo—"

"Ito na kasi!" sabi ko kasi she's gonna open the door na talaga! "We can't do it without you, Valerie!"

"Huy, grabe 'to. Wag nga kayong ganyan!" she said, tucking her hair behind her ear. Humarap ulit siya sa amin. "Magligpit na tayo, mga shuta kayo! May eleksyon pa tayong ipapanalo!"

After three knocks, nag-open na 'yung door ng SSG office pero nagulat kami kasi iba 'yung nag-welcome sa amin na teacher.

"Anong atin?" Ms. Arellano asked.

"Good afternoon po, Ms. Arellano," Valerie greeted. "Nasaan po si Sir Esguerra?"

"Di niyo ba nabalitaan?" Ma'am said, her forehead creased. "Na-stroke si Sir Isge nung first day, ayun naka-leave parin... Baka mag-retire na nga rin si sir, e."
