Chapter 8
I kept on erasing everything I've typed sa Notes app kasi I feel like ang lame ng explanation ko. Ugh, kairita talaga! Sino ba namang 'di maiirita kung papasok ka nalang sa school and then biglang maca-cancel ka pa?!
"Debbie, eat your breakfast. Puro ka cellphone," Mommy said.
"Sorry, Mommy. Last minute edit lang sa homework," I excused before mag-continue sa pag-construct ng apology ko. My gosh naman kasi! Sino bang nag-ungkat ng tweets ko from four years ago?! Di pa nga ako naggo-glow up nun! "No way..."
"Why, Debbie?" Mommy asked.
Slowly, I looked up to her. Agad ko ring binalik sa phone ko ang tingin before opening the thread. I watched how quick the numbers of likes and retweets stacked up.

Debbie Lofranco made my freshman year a living hell.
A thread.
"Are you okay? Mukha kang naka-basa ng death threat with that look on your face," Mommy said. Oh, my gosh... Do I show this to her? Baka ipa-hunt down nila 'yung student tapos ipa-expel! "Deborah Ester, care to answer me?"
I gulped. "Am I a brat, Mommy?"
"What? Of course not! Sinong nagsabi nyan—"
"Am I a bitch?"
"Debbie, kailan ka pa natutong mag-mura?!"
"Just be honest, Mommy. Please?"
She sighed. "Well, you can be a bleep most of the time—"
"But am I a monster?" I asked.
"What? Of course not! Sinong nagsabi nyan—"
I can't stomach these accusations anymore... My gosh! Kanina lang in-expose na nila ako for my offensive tweets from four years ago tapos ngayon there's this girl that claims na binully ko raw siya for a solid year?! Baka nga ako pa 'yung binu-bully nung seniors ko that time, e!
"Let's go," Mommy said pagtayo niya at binitbit ang Birkin niya. "Manang Cora, ikaw na ang bahala sa mansion, may biglaang lakad ako today—"
"Where are we going, Mommy?" I asked, hilong-hilo na sa true lang.
"Saan pa? Edi sa school mo!"
"Ha? Why?"
"I'm not your mother for nothing," Mommy replied.
I grabbed my bag and my campaign vest. Before I can even try to talk her out of it, nasa car na agad kami on the way to the school. Medyo nabigla ako that Mommy's like this but I couldn't complain kasi ito lang naman ang hiniling ko—but not in a situation like this!
"Oh, Lolita! Blooming ka today, amiga," Mrs. Domingo said. Oh, my god! Why naman sa principal kami dumiretso ni Mommy?!
"I'd like to report something," Mommy said. She turned to me. "Nasan na 'yung post kanina, Debbie?" I opened my phone agad and pumunta dun sa unang thread that called me out.
"A-Anong post ito, Lolita?"
"This," Mommy said tapos pinakita 'yung thread kay Ma'am. "This is defamation of character! I don't think we should tolerate this. Tsaka ito pa," she continued then scrolled down. "Binanggit ang pangalan ng school. See? What can we do, Mabel?!"
"Sandali lang naman, Lolita! I'm trying to process things pa, ano?!"
Pinalabas muna ako ng secretary ni Mrs. Domingo so the two of them can talk. I was shaking habang naglalakad ako sa hallway.
