I hate Rembrandt Bailey Ceralde.
I could go all day enumerating the reasons why and it still wouldn't be enough. Sa dami ng atraso niya sa akin, I shouldn't have underestimated him. Everytime I think I'm about to outsmart him, he comes up with something new.
"Bagay na bagay talaga sila!"
"Grabe! Ang swerte nating maging schoolmate nila!"
"Debbie, Bailey, kiss naman kayo dyan!"
Bailey looked at me and smiled. Ugh, kairita. He draped his arm around my shoulder as we graced the school canteen.
"I'll kill you later," I said to his ear with a wide smile.
"What time?" he asked. "The pleasure is mine, Debbie."
Oh, puh-lease.
Why naman kasi hindi ako nag-complain sa set-up namin na 'to?! The things I do nga naman talaga to stay as the queen bee!
Free cut ng buong school right now because today na yung first airing sa TV ng commercial namin ni Bailey. It will come at around 9am daw and will air again after 2 minutes.
"Iba ka na talaga, Debbie!" Santana said while making yugyog my arms.
"I know right!" I replied sabay flip ng hair ko.
Almost two weeks ago na rin 'yung shoot and dumating na sa house last night 'yung 5 boxes ng shampoo nila. Grabe nga! Baka magamit pa ng mga apo ko 'yun. Turns out, yun pala 'yung half ng payment for the TVC.
"Guys, ayan na!" Valerie announced sa class. Lumingon na kaming lahat sa smart TV at the back of the classroom. "Shuta! Ang kikinis nina Debbie at Bailey!"
I whipped out my phone to capture the scene.
When the commercial ended, everyone was nagti-tilian and nagha-hampas ng armchair! My gosh!
"Uy, sila Ate Debbie at Kuya Bailey!"
The next thing I knew, nasa gitna na kami ni Bailey ng quadrangle while signing autographs sa likod ng notebook nilang lahat. Picture here and video greetings there. Parang sasabog na yung heart ko sa overwhelm!
"Ang tanong po ng sambayanan—kayo na po bang dalawa?!"
My eyes widened. Nagka-tinginan kami ni Bailey. No one was expecting this question!
I'm gonna kurot sa singit talaga 'yang si Bridgette later!
"Uhm, no actually—"
"Yes. Kami na po ni Debbie Lofranco," Bailey quickly cut me off, draping his arm around my shoulders.
I opened my mouth para sabihing niloloko lang sila ni Bailey but my voice was immediately muffled by the noise of Simon Antonio High. All of a sudden, kumalat na sa buong school na kami na ni Rembrandt Bailey Ceralde.
"You have a special place in hell," I told Bailey nung kami nalang.
"Then, at least the sin's worth the trip."
Tinanggal ko agad yung braso ni Bailey sa shoulder ko the moment we stepped into the library. I was glaring at his reflection habang nagpu-pulbo ako sa mirror ko.
"See? Everyone likes us. They call us the 'it couple'!"
"Just to remind you, hindi pa kita sinasagot. This is all for show, okay?"
