"I don't remember anything."
"Sure ka?"
I nodded. "Yeah. I just know I passed out..."
"Ah... So 'di mo natatandaang sinukahan mo 'tong sapin ng kama ko?" Valerie asked, raising her eyebrow.
"What?" tanong ko rin, my lips parted.
"Oo, teh! At take note ha, 2am na nang madaling araw nangangatok ka pa! Tulog na lahat ng kapitbahay namin!"
"Oh, my gosh. What the freak... What else did I do?"
"Wala ka talagang naaalala?"
"Wala talaga!" I reiterated.
"Oh, sige. Tara dun, sumilip ka sa sala."
I followed Valerie papunta sa sala and my eyes widened immediately when I saw Bailey sleeping on the sofa! I quickly pulled Valerie pabalik sa kwarto niya.
"What's he doing here?!"
"Hinatid ka niyan dito kagabi," Valerie replied. I was peering over at Bailey through the slightly opened door. "Lasing na lasing na rin kasi kaya pina-stay ko na. Don't worry, obvious namang magka-hiwalay kayong natulog."
I gulped. "Send him home already!"
"Teh, ungrateful ka pa ha! Tumatanda ka, nawawalan ka ng manners," she replied, rolling her eyes.
"Omg, just tell him to leave na!"
"Oo na, eto na! Demanding, ah?!"
Lumabas na si Val sa sala to make gising kay Bailey. I began pacing back and forth inside her kwarto, thinking about what I should do. My gosh! I searched for my phone and messaged Santana to come over. Wala naman daw siyang classes ng morning so she said she's on her way na.
I make silip sa pinto and saw na kausap ni Valerie si Bailey habang umiinom siya ng kape. Kairita, pinag-coffee pa talaga?!
Biglang may narinig akong kumakatok sa gate nila Valerie kaya sumilip ako sa bintana ng room niya. Santana's here already! My gosh, thank God naman!
"Valerie, alis na rin ako," I heard Bailey say to Val.
"Ha? Uh... okay, sige," Val said bago niya samahan lumabas si Bailey. Ayan, pwede na akong lumabas sa hideout!
Yung Mama na ni Val ang nag-open ng gate for Santana. I quickly ran to the door and pa-simpleng lumabas ng kwarto. Exactly na paglabas ni Bailey ay pagpasok ni Santana kaya their foreheads creased at each other.
I looked back at the window and when I made sure Bailey was out of the house na, only then did I fully emerged from Valerie's room.
"Gutom ka na ba?" Valerie asked.
"Uh, hindi naman—" But just as I was about to refuse, I heard my tummy growl. G na g naman!
"Sensya ha, cup noodles lang mahahanda ko sa inyo. Wala pa 'kong tulog, teh!" Valerie said as she poured hot water sa noodle cup.
"Huy, okay lang."
"Ay, syempre teh makikikain ka lang, 'no?"
I rolled my eyes. She never changed talaga! When the cup noodles was ready na, kumuha na kami ng fork and began eating.
"Di ba 'yan masama sayo?" Santana asked Val.
"Grabe siya, oh!" Valerie said and wiped the side of her mouth with her t-shirt. Ugh, gross girl! "Once a month lang naman!"
