Chapter 31

Even after midnight, Shouko was still wide awake on her bed. She couldn't even get a wink of sleep after what Dori told her. No one in their right mind would actually believe him. But still, Shouko could feel a whole zoo going wild inside her stomach.

Shouko's thoughts drifted to Nijiro once again and the smile on her lips faded. The feelings she had for him wasn't the same as the feelings she had for Dori. It seems like she only has feelings for Dori like a normal fan would have.

But whenever she was with Nijiro, she would even forget that he was actually a celebrity and not just a normal citizen.

Shouko grabbed her phone and opened up Instagram again. She bit her lip as an idea came into mind. It was a bit extreme but she decided to make another account.

As she searched up his name, her heart started to beat faster. Nijiro still had no posts but he put up another story. She tapped on it and held her breath as it loaded up.

What she saw made her regret ever making another account just to check up on him. She gulped and blinked back her tears as she didn't want to cry. She had no right to be upset.

Clearly, Nijiro was happy without her. She shouldn't mess things up for him and his new girl. It's much better for her to move on with her life as well.

Shouko placed her phone back on the desk beside her bed and closed her eyes shut. She didn't want to think about him anymore, she just wanted happy thoughts now.

The sun was starting to rise and yet Shouko was still wide awake even with her eyes closed. Her head seems like it doesn't want her to have any rest.

"Gosh, let me frickin' sleep!" She yelled in frustration. Shouko even covered her head with a pillow.

Little Niragi saw this and jumped on her chest. He meowed until she lifted the pillow off of her face. Shouko chuckled and petted him.

"You're a smart one, aren't you?" She cooed and the kitten meowed back.

Shouko decided to close her eyes again and as Little Niragi purred, she could finally sleep.

Once again, she had to skip class for that day. She can't go to class without any sleep, she's better off at home.

When she woke up, it was half past noon. She stretched her limbs and got up, realizing Little Niragi wasn't in the room with her anymore.

Shouko sighed and prepared some clothes to change into before going to the bathroom to take a shower.

As she was showering, she heard soft meows on the other side of the door. Then there were soft thuds every once in a while.

Shouko quickly finished showering and got out to see her kitten waiting for her like a guard. She bent down to pat his head, earning another soft meow. And as she walked back to her bedroom to change, the little guy still followed her.

After putting on some clothes, Shouko went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. She wasn't in the mood to cook for herself so she just settled on a cup of premium milk pudding.

Shouko bit her lip and bowed her head. Each corner of the house reminded her of Nijiro. She was starting to think she might be crazy for seeing him everywhere.

After finishing the cup, she threw it away in the trash bin. Little Niragi had grown tired and walked back to his tower to sleep again.

Shouko sighed and decided to go out for a little while to clear her head. She was going to school tomorrow and she didn't want to still have her thoughts preoccupied with anything other than schoolwork.
