Hey everyone, hope you all are safe and healthy.
So here is the first chapter hope you enjoy.———————————-
Dear Sanam,
I was utterly wonderstruck and overwhelmed when I heard your voice for the first time. It's astonishing to think that I hadn't discovered your music sooner, despite my lifelong love for Sufi melodies. Music from your country has always been a balm for my soul, but your voice carries a magic that I can't quite pinpoint. Even when you reach the highest notes, there's a soothing quality in your voice that is simply mesmerising.
There's something deeply personal about the way you sing. It feels as though it's not just your voice that captivates, but the way your eyes speaks your soul through your music. When I listen to you, I don't just hear a performance; I feel the emotions you are feeling. I see the depth of your feelings in your eyes. You don't merely sing words; you live them, and that's what draws listeners like me into your world. It's this beautiful connection you have with your music that makes your voice so irresistible. No wonder they call you the queen of music.
Words seem inadequate to convey the full extent of my admiration for you. I hope someday to experience the magic of your performance live.
Yours truly, Kahini Vyas
"What the f*ck did you just post, K?" Kahini's phone buzzed with a text from Prashant.
"Can't you read, idiot?" she replied swiftly, her fingers tapping the screen with an air of irritation, then returned to her work, eyes fixed on the laptop.
Her phone vibrated again, and this time, Prashant's message carried a more serious tone.
"K, what's going on with you? Your bosses, your employees—they can see that. It doesn't look professional. You're an art director now."Kahini read the message but refused to engage, rolling her eyes and locking her phone without responding. Yet, the familiar ring of an incoming call pierced through the brief silence just minutes later. She sighed, knowing exactly who it was.
"I know, I know what you're going to say, so just save your breath," she answered, her voice tired, already dreading the lecture.
"K, why are you always so grumpy?" Prashant's voice carried a tinge of helplessness from the other side of the country.
"Because I know what you're going to say. I'm aware I'm senior now and people look up to me, but Prashant, I'm not just what they see at work. I have a life outside of my profession too," Kahini defended herself, her voice sharp yet weary. She took a slow sip of her coffee, fingers scrolling through the comments on her recent post.
