"Mann ki baatein mann hi jaaney ya jaaney khuda," Sanam's voice drifted through the Kullu valley, a gentle melody carried by the cool, crisp air. She was seated on the balcony wrapped in warm shawl under the shade, nestled comfortably on a sofa as the rain fell softly around her, creating a soothing rhythm that matched the mood of the day.

"Ishq te aatish domen barabar par ishq dashe ek vadhera," Sanam's smile widened as she sang. The song was like a warm embrace, wrapping around her heart and soul.

"Tu dur bhi, tu pass bhi, tu aas bhi pyaas bhi..." she continued, her voice growing softer. She was lost in her world, where the boundaries between reality and her inner emotions blurred. Sanam could feel the warmth of her love for Kahini in every note, in every breath she took.

As Sanam's voice continued to weave through the melody, the rain outside seemed to blend seamlessly with her song. She was lost in the moment, when she felt a soft presence in front of her. She slowly opened her eyes to find Vikash standing before her, a warm smile on his face.

"Hello," Sanam greeted, a touch of surprise in her voice. She adjusted her position on the sofa.

"Hi," Vikash replied, his tone sincere. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to disrupt you, but I heard your voice and couldn't help but come here. You have an amazing voice. Now I understand why my boy is such a fanboy after you."

"Thank you. Please, have a seat." She motioned towards an armchair.

Vikash settled into the chair with a grateful nod, his gaze lingering on Sanam.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?" Vikash asked, his curiosity piqued.

"Kahini went out for some work, Uncle, Shree and Prashant took kids for outing, just Aunty and Charu are around, but you know Charu is not really comfortable with me, so I decided to enjoy the rain a bit," Sanam explained, her voice carrying a gentle understanding.

"Well let me tell you, you did the right thing because I get to hear you sing, I feel so lucky" chuckled her, his voice laced with giggle.

"I'm glad you like it." Sanam laughed softly.

Vikash nodded in appreciation. A comfortable silence settled between them. After a moment, Vikash cleared his throat, his voice hesitant as he spoke.

"Sanam, I actually wanted to apologise to you," Vikash began, Sanam turned her gaze to him, curiosity flickering in her eyes. Vikash noticed her questioning look and continued, "For Charu. I'm sorry for the way she behaved and the things she said."

"It's okay," she replied, her voice gentle. "She was just being protective of her sister." Sanam's expression softened with a hint of sadness.

Vikash shook his head slightly. "Still, it doesn't justify the things she said."

"I know but it's not me she should be apologising to," she responded, her gaze steady as she met Vikash's eyes.

"I know... but," Vikash began, with helplessness, "I just wish she make up with Kuhu after all they are family."

Sanam's heart ached at seeing his stressed and decided to change the flow of convention "So, I'm guessing you're fine with mine and Kahini's relationship?"

Vikash looked at her with a sincere smile, "I'm just happy that Kuhu finally found someone she loves."

"Someone who is not Shree." she quipped, with teasing smile

Vikash groaned, hiding his face in mock embarrassment. "Oh, please, don't remind me. It's so embarrassing," he confessed, Sanam couldn't help but laugh, the sound light and genuine, easing the tension in the air.
