Kahini entered Sanam's room with her usual spark, eyes fixed on her phone. "Hey, did you see what Shree posted?" she asked, her voice playful, but before she could even glance up, she was swiftly pulled into Sanam's arms. The warmth of Sanam's embrace caught her off guard, her heart skipping a beat.

"I don't know, and I don't care," Sanam only thing whispered, her voice low, husky. Before Kahini could react, Sanam's lips were on hers, and the world blurred. The intensity of the kiss took her breath away—urgent yet soft, as if Sanam had been holding back a flood of emotions that now rushed forth, unstoppable.

At first, Kahini was too surprised to respond. But as the seconds passed, she melted into the kiss, smiling under a kiss, lips moving in perfect harmony with Sanam's. Wrapping her arms around Sanam's neck, she pulled her closer, their bodies fitting together effortlessly, as if they'd been made for this moment.

When their lips finally parted, "Well, that was a surprise," Kahini teased, voice breathless from the kiss she giggle, her cheeks flushed with excitement.

Sanam's eyes softened as she gazed at Kahini, her expression so tender it made Kahini's heart ache.

"Yes, because you are full of surprises," Sanam said, her voice thick with love.

The way Sanam looked at her, as if she were the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, made Kahini's chest tighten with emotion. Sanam's eyes traced every detail of Kahini's face, memorizing it, adoring it.

Kahini's playful grin faltered for a second, a small flicker of curiosity crossing her face. She toyed with Sanam's hair, tilting her head slightly. "Care to elaborate?"

"Kavis called. She agreed to come to India," Sanam said softly, her hand cupping Kahini's cheek, caressing it like she always does. "You didn't tell me she was going to stay with us."

Kahini's eyes widened in surprise, but her lips quickly curved into a mischievous smile. "Shit... it was supposed to be a surprise for you."

"Well, I'm definitely surprised," Sanam chuckled, pulling Kahini even closer, her voice filled with affection. In that moment, Kahini felt the world shrink to just the two of them, wrapped in their own little bubble of love and warmth.

"You wanted her to be around you, so you can make sure she's alright, healthy. Now you don't have to worry about her. I'll be there to take care of her," Kahini said softly, her fingers gently tracing soothing patterns on Sanam's back. The reassurance in her voice was like a balm to Sanam's worries.

"Thank you," Sanam whispered, her voice barely audible, her eyes met Kahini's, vulnerability flickering beneath the surface.

Kahini's chest tightened at the sight of Sanam's rare vulnerability, and without thinking, she gently cupped Sanam's face in her hands.

"Sanam, you don't need to thank me," she whispered, her voice tender, yet firm. "Don't you take care about my family?" She smiled, the affection in her gaze mirroring the warmth of her words. "We are partners, a family, this is what we do."

Sanam's eyes glistened with unshed emotions, her lips curving into a soft, grateful smile. Her heart felt too full, as if it couldn't possibly contain all the love she felt in that moment. She leaned in, kissing Kahini again, this time slower, gentler, their lips moving in a soft rhythm that spoke of love, trust, and everything in between. Kahini kissed her back, her fingers tracing the line of Sanam's jaw, her heart soaring with every touch, every shared breath.
