Looking into the mirror, Sanam's eyes brimmed with joyful tears. She had been a bit nervous before stepping on stage—this was her first performance in India, and the expectations were immense. She was used to performing in front of massive crowds, even thousands of people. But tonight was different. Among all those faces, one stood out—Kahini. For the first time, the woman she loves will be watching her from the audience, making this performance deeply special.

"You were amazing," a familiar voice broke through her thoughts.

Startled, Sanam glanced up at the reflection in the mirror and found Kahini standing behind her, beaming with pride. That smile, full of admiration, made Sanam's heart swell, and a radiant grin spread across her face.

"You're here," Sanam whispered, leaping from her seat and wrapping Kahini in a tight embrace. The warmth of her lover's body was exactly what she needed to calm the storm of emotions swirling within her.

"Of course, I canceled the last meeting. How could I miss your opening performance?" Kahini responded, her voice soft as she rubbed Sanam's back lovingly, grounding her.

"I thought you missed it," Sanam admitted, pulling back slightly but keeping their hands intertwined, her eyes searching Kahini's.

Kahini met her gaze, her smile tender. "Nope, I got here just in time. That's why I couldn't come to see you before."

Sanam nodded, her smile returning, eyes locking with Kahini's, a deep, unspoken connection passing between them. She could feel the pride in Kahini's eyes like a warm blanket.

"How are you feeling now?" Sanam asked softly, her fingers gently brushing against Kahini's cheek. The concern in her voice was unmistakable.

"It should be my question." Kahini chuckled, trying to deflect the attention.

But Sanam's eyes didn't waver. She knew her lover well enough and after yesterday's revelation she was extremely protective over her lover. The worry in her gaze pulled at Kahini's heart, making her want to reassure Sanam.

Kahini exhaled, her smile softening as she squeezed Sanam's hand. "I'm fine, Sanam."

But the singer wasn't fully convinced. Her brow furrowed as she searched Kahini's face for any lingering pain. "Are you sure?" she pressed, her voice gentle but firm.

Kahini hesitated before finally speaking, her voice quieter this time. "I don't usually talk about things like this, but last night... Parakh's behavior, it messed me up, and I just couldn't..."

She trailed off, her gaze falling to the floor, a hint of guilt seeping into her voice. The memory of the confrontation still stung, and sharing that vulnerability was harder than she expected.

"Hey," Sanam's voice softened even more as she lifted Kahini's chin, forcing her to meet her gaze. "It's okay. I'm right here whenever you need me." She paused, a playful smirk tugging at her lips as she added, "And as for Parakh... no wonder you hate him this much."

Kahini let out a surprised laugh, the tension melting away. She rolled her eyes but smiled gratefully, feeling lighter as Sanam's teasing brought some much-needed levity to the moment.

"Okay, enough about me. It's your big day! Tell me, how are you feeling? Everyone out there is so excited," Kahini asked, her voice light with excitement, her hand gently squeezing Sanam's. Her smile was infectious, and Sanam couldn't help but return it.

"I saw that," Sanam replied, her eyes twinkling with affection. "To be honest, I was a bit nervous before going on stage, but the response... it was more than I expected."
