"So, what did you guys do?" Prashant raised his eyebrows teasingly, his head resting comfortably in Kahini's lap, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"We didn't do anything like what's cooking in your mind," Kahini retorted, playfully smacking his forehead. "I helped her settle in, and we talked about kids and work." Her voice was calm, but beneath the surface, her heart fluttered at the thought of Sanam.

"You guys sound like an old married couple," Preet chimed in with a smirk, seated across from them on the bed, her five-month baby bump prominently visible.

"Oh please, not you too! I've had enough of your husband's teasing already," Kahini groaned, her annoyance evident though her tone held a playful edge. Husband and wife exchanged teasing glances, their smirks barely hidden.

"What? He's not wrong, you know. Plus, you two kinda look hot together," Preet added with a playful wink, stirring the pot further.

"And how do you know that?" Kahini asked, narrowing her eyes suspiciously. Her gaze flicked from Preet to Prashant, who was doing a terrible job of looking innocent.

"Oh, I showed her the picture I took at the airport," Prashant confessed casually, looking up at Kahini with a devilish grin. He barely dodged a playful slap on the shoulder as Kahini's eyes widened.

"You took a picture? When? Show me!" Her voice was indignant, but a soft blush crept up her neck, betraying her.

"No way, you're never gonna see it!" Prashant laughed. "I'm saving it for your wedding gift. It was when you two were hugging." He mimicked a dramatic hugging motion, making a show of teasing her, all while Kahini tried to hide the growing pink tinge on her cheeks.

"Shut up, you ass," she grumbled, smacking him again, but the way her heart skipped at the mention of that hug was impossible to ignore. She glanced away, trying to play it cool, but everyone in the room knew the truth.

"Anyway, tell me, when are you bringing her here? I want to meet her," Preet asked excitedly, munching on chocolate and glancing at Kahini with eager eyes.

Kahini sighed, her fingers absentmindedly running through Prashant's hair. "I don't know, maybe Friday. She wants to see Mumbai first, so tomorrow, we'll probably go somewhere," she muttered, her voice softer now.

"Bullsh*t, she just wants to spend time with you," Prashant quipped, earning a sharp look from Kahini. But before she could argue, he turned to his wife. "Pree, you should've seen them. They were literally eye-f**king each other." He let out a mock gasp, dramatically placing a hand over his heart as if scandalized by his own words.

Kahini's eyes widened in shock, her mouth falling open as her face turned a deep shade of red. "YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!" she squealed, pushing him off her lap with a shove. Embarrassment radiated off her, her face burning with the realization that her best friends had seen right through her.

Preet burst into laughter, clutching her belly as she gasped for breath. "Look at your face! Oh my god, this is priceless!" she exclaimed, still laughing. Prashant joined in, the two of them ganging up on Kahini, who sat there, speechless and flushed.

"This is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to meet her," Preet teased, wiping away a tear from laughing so hard.

"Come on, just admit it—you like her. I mean, look at your face," Prashant teased, grinning from ear to ear. Kahini opened her mouth to object, ready to fight back, but before she could, her phone buzzed on the table. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the name flashing on the screen.
