Life had been nothing short of magical since Sanam moved in with Kahini for few weeks now. The house brimmed with laughter, warmth, and the kind of love Kahini never believed she'd find. She'd long ago given up on the idea of building a family like this, but here she was, surrounded by the woman she loved and their children, with joy and contentment filling every corner of her home. The sound of the kids playing in the living room was a reminder of the life they are creating together—a life Kahini once thought was beyond her reach.

Sanam walked into the kitchen, smile curved of her lips as her gaze landed on Kahini immersed in cooking, without a word, Sanam slipped her arms around Kahini's waist from behind, her body warm against Kahini's as she stood cooking.

"What are you doing?" Sanam's voice was soft, teasing, as she rested her chin on Kahini's shoulder.

"Making lunch," Kahini replied, smiling, savouring the closeness. Her eyes still on the children playing.

Sanam nuzzled closer, her breath warm against Kahini's neck. "Need any help?" she murmured, her lips grazing just below Kahini's ear, sending a delightful shiver down her spine.

"If this is your idea of helping, then definitely no," Kahini laughed softly, trying to keep her voice steady.

Sanam grinned, pressing a lingering kiss on the sensitive spot she knew all too well, then playfully nipping at it.

"Are you sure?" she whispered seductively, sending a rush of warmth through her lover. Kahini turned quickly, her cheeks flushed, pushing Sanam lightly.

"Sanam, the kids are right there," she chided, her voice caught between exasperation and amusement.

But Sanam wasn't deterred. She leaned in, hands resting on the counter, caging Kahini in gently, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So? I'm romancing their mother and my future wife. Is that a problem?" Sanam's smirk deepened, and Kahini's heart skipped a beat.

"Wife? I haven't even said yes yet." Kahini's face warmed as she stammered,

"You don't have to." Sanam's gaze was steady, filled with certainty. "I already know your answer."

They stood there for a moment, locked in each other's gaze, the air between them humming. Kahini knew what Sanam meant—marriage, a future, a family. It was everything Kahini had dreamed of but had never dared to hope for. She shook her head, breaking the spell, and gently pushed Sanam away. She turned back to the stove, trying to steady herself.

"It's not that simple, Sanam. We already have a house full of kids. How could we handle a pregnancy and a newborn? when you'll be in Mumbai half the time." Kahini's voice trembled, her anxiety rising despite the desire that flickered deep inside her.

"I'll make time, I promise." Sanam leaned against the counter, her eyes never leaving Kahini. "You're already a pro when it comes to kids. You've managed fifty children at the orphanage. What's one more?" Her voice was calm, a soothing balm to Kahini's worries.

"And what will I tell people when they ask whose baby it is?" Kahini hesitated, her fear slipping through her words.

"You can tell them that you wanted a child of your own, and you went through IVF. It's not illegal, and it's your choice," Sanam said softly, stepping closer, her fingers gently tucking a stray lock of hair behind Kahini's ear.

Kahini's lips curved into a small. "You've really thought this through, haven't you?" she teased, admiration in her eyes.

Sanam nodded, her expression tender but firm. "I know how much this means to you, and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen."
