"Don't make it sound like that" I slouched slightly, referring to him explicitly mentioning that All Might hadn't invited me. "Not that I care, but even so we weren't the only ones who saved All Might throughout the fight. The second time was just a sudden impulse, you know we two could be alike sometimes as twins so we both had jumped to stop the villains. We just really love All Might that it came as an instinct. And it could be true about the quirk thing, though there wasn't much that was said yet between the two of them" I said half the truth.
At that time Shigiraki and Kurogiri were formidable enemies as a team when All Might was vulnerable. We had to jump in. And I couldn't tell them the whole truth about the quirk part.
I turned my head feeling like someone was looking at me, I saw Todoroki looking over with his usual blank expression and my curious expression turned into a greeting smile.
He just turned around without even nodding in my direction. My smile turned upside down for a second before I turned back to continue to talk to Ura and Iida.
Thankfully they bought my earlier excuse and I sighed in relief.
We reached the front of the line and I ordered some cold soba with extra wasabi and a brownie. Just then I decided on something and told Ura and Iida, "you guys head over, I'll join later, I have to talk to someone"
The two nodded confusingly, but neither of them asked about it and went to find a table together.
I looked around the place and saw Todoroki sitting alone at a table half filled with some other students. I only saw the top of his dual coloured head and walked over.
He was silently eating something and looked up with the noodles still hanging from his mouth and slurped it in. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly in confusion at my approach.
I sat opposite him looking down, and then lifted my head, "Showmeyourflames" I suggested on a whim.
Todoroki looked at me for a while and then said "no" monotonously.
"Come on please! I never saw your flames, what colour are they? Are they orange like normal flames or are they differently coloured like mine? Could they be red? Like your hair? I just want to see it once, one wisp is enough"
"Why?" he asked.
"I told you, I just want to see them"
"There's no reason for you to want to see my flames." He said and continued eating.
"There's no harm in you showing them to me either"
He looked up, "you are disturbing me, don't bother me while I'm eating"
"So will you show it after you finish eating?" I asked.
"You are being awefuly persistent"
"I know" I smiled slightly, "Just this once, how about you ask me anything in exchange"
"Anything?" He asked looking up.
"Sure, anything, just nothing weird ok?" I said sweatdropping. No matter what I'm not that desperate to really promise anything. He seemed really alone so I came here to spend a bit of time. Wanting to see his flames was just an excuse.
"What do you mean by weird?" He asked looking as superficially puzzled as he could.
You've got to be kidding me, maybe I shouldn't have even had that thought, he's too... direct sometimes and even has really low EQ... and clueless.
"Nevermind that, just nothing too extreme, questions are fine too"
"We can't use our quirk in the cafeteria"
