It was dawn by the time things settled down. Todoroki and Yaomomo found us through the crowd and I apologized right away for leaving and running but they were understanding about it.
"Now that we met up, we have to tell the heroes about Bakagou right?" Kirishima said and reached out a hand to Katsuki who slapped it away and started walking on his own. I smiled and followed, the 7 of us walked opposite to the direction of the evacuation.
"Yeah" Iida replied.
"The heroes continued rescue operations during All Might's fight, but it is expected that there will be a large number of casualties. The villain thought to be the ringleader is now... oh, they're leading him into the Maiden right now! Now, as All Might and the others are in a state of high alert!-"
As me and Izu walked beside each other, he turned around when he heard, "Next..."
I turned too after noticing it, "Next, it's your turn."
I perked up slowly and turned my head to look at Izu who stood up straight.
Everyone cheered thinking of the dialogue as a cool sign off, but we knew it was something different. It meant he really did use up everything in him, and that he had now fully passed the torch to Izu, I had a sad expression as Izu cried with gritted teeth. I looked back at the billboard screen with a sad smile through my tears. It's hard, in all sorts of ways, to think All Might was never going to be doing hero work again.
Izu won't have to fight against AFO at least, but the league were still out there. Our job was to fight them as part of the next generation of heroes and Izu as the next symbol of peace. I will stand beside him no matter.
. . .
Later we went together to the police station to drop Katsuki after changing into our previous clothes. They took him in and the entire time Katsuki remained silent. It was unlike him but surely he had a lot of things to think about. It had been a really long 5 days.
After that there was some questioning and we were let out by afternoon. In the middle of it we also caught sight of Mitsuki and Masaru, however me and Izu didn't want to bother them since they were more intent and worried about finding Katsuki.
And then we went back home like nothing happened.
Mom opened the door, "welcome home. It looks like All Might had a hard time huh? You must have had a hard time getting home too." She said with a worried look.
Last night's news must have toned her down a bit from thinking of the camp incident and sending us back to U.A.
"Yeah" Izu said with a small smile.
Both of us went into our opposite rooms and I found Hawks feather on the bed, clearly where I didn't put it earlier.
I flinched, he figured out what happened.
Though... "Yes, yes, sorry, I'll tell you later, I'm really really tired, good night" I said falling on the bed and the feather on the key chain fell down from the jump.
I paused.
I quickly leaned off the side of the bed and put the key chain on the bedside table and then went back to sleep on the bed.
. . .
After like almost 7 hours I felt something tickling my face. I opened my eyes and saw something red, I pounced up and tried catching it angrily. I can already sense the lazy smirk on Hawks face as he had fun trying to wake me up because he was bored and was restless to hear my explanation.
"Can't you let me sleep for once!"
"Baby, dinner's ready-" Mom knocked, "oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you" she said probably flinching at my sudden tone from the inside.
