"Thankfully no," I sighed and removed my shoes on one leg, "at least, I think, remember the time when we returned from a bit of exercise at the beach after the battle training? When I felt someone following us? Just like that I felt a presence while walking back earlier."
"What!???" he screamed like a banshee, "Are you sure!? Are you okay Rin? Oh my god-!"
"BUT!" I interrupted his worrisome potential rant, "When I went and checked around the corner no one was there. After that I didn't feel anything all the way back home. I'm fine."
Izu's expression seemed to have turned even more scared and frightened for my sake, "For now! We have to tell someone, maybe call the police! It could be the villains that attacked us at the USJ, what if they kidnap you or something?! We should tell All Might or you could also tell Hawks about it, maybe they could help. Its not safe for you to go outside alone, so next time I'll come with you..." He started rambling.
"Hey hey calm down, nothing's wrong, it must have been only one person and don't make a fuss about it. I'll tell Hawks for now. We can also tell All Might at school the day after when we see him. I'm sure they can handle it and they'll decide whether we should tell the police or not. I can fly away and if push comes to shove, I can fight them, I'm not defenseless. I'll send you my live location if I ever go outside, you don't need to follow me like I'm a baby that needs protecting from child traffickers"
Okay... maybe I should not have said that, he got even more worried.
He screeched at that and started worrying like a mama bear, "Oh no, what if they are child traffickers, they'll come in bunches and will outnumber you, besides you're also famous from the sports festival, practically everyone knows you, maybe that's why.."
"Izuku!" I said sternly, "if it helps I'll stay at home most of the time ok? And you can come with me to wherever incase I have to go" I said helplessly, I can't calm this state of his unless I relented to his protective conditions. If it will soothe his worries...
"Don't tell mom about it, she has so much on her plate already with us wanting to become heroes and getting hurt in the sports festival. And it's merely speculation"
Izu nodded in agreement after a moment of hesitation, unable to say no. I walked in and went to my room, I texted Hawks about it and waited for his reply, he's probably busy right now with patrols and whatnot.
I sat down to study after that, there are still some topics I had to catch up to. The sports festival took away most of my study time and we had internships again in a few days.
Mom had come home after her work right before dinner time and made us instant soba of the spicy flavor. It's not that we didn't like it, we actually loved it. Me and Izu sat on the couch in front of the TV like tradition with it and watched our favourite shows.
While mom was in the kitchen he whispered to me from the side with a hand covering his mouth, "So did Hawks reply?"
"Not yet, he must be busy. He will later I think."
"I think??"
"Oh come on. He will reply later when he's free."
"What're you two whispering so secretively about that you have to hide from me?" mom walked up teasingly.
We flinched straight, and rambled, talking over one another, "About school!/training!"
We switched, "No it's training!/school!"
We looked at each other communicating with our eyes in slight argument when Mom giggled and sat down, "You my baby twins are just like always. Oh, you're watching this again?" She looked at the TV at one of our fabourite superheroes movie, not paying much mind to our earlier surreptitious whispers.
