Wanda sat at the table, thinking about (M/F/N)'s words. (Y/N) was gone, there was nothing anyone could do about that.

She picked up the bag that (M/F/N) had left. It was a small paper bag, probably recycled from some restaurant nearby. Wanda reached her hand inside, pulling out the two objects. One was a small piece of folded paper, and the other was a small black box. She first unfolded the paper. It was a property deed, for a house in Westview, New Jersey. A place where they could have had a life together.

Wanda then grabbed the black box, gingerly cracking it open. Inside was a small, silver engagement ring in her size. It hadn't been touched for six years. She slipped it onto her finger, admiring it, remembering all the times she and (Y/N) had together, thinking of what could have been if Thanos had never happened.

She made a plan to find this place he wanted them to live in. Then, and only then, she would make her peace with his death.

Two guards stood inside the maximum-security wing at Arkham Asylum. An alarm sounded outside, and they ran off to support the guards who were near said alarm, leaving the maximum security wing unattended.

The power was shut off and the red emergency lights came on. It was at this point that Batman dropped into the cell of the person he needed to speak to: Zemo.

Zemo stood with his back to the wall as Batman walked up to him. Zemo was grabbed by the collar of his inmate uniform, and Batman lifted his other hand, revealing the smoking bat-brand, used to burn his symbol on criminals.

"If I have my way," Batman said, "You'll be going away for a very long time."

"But there is nothing you can do," Zemo said threateningly. "The bells have already been rung, and they cannot be un-rung. They've heard it, out in the dark, among the stars. Ding dong, the god is dead."

Batman pulled his arm back for a punch, but hit the wall rather than Zemo, leaving a smoking indentation. He disappeared shortly after and the lights came back on.

Wanda pulled over at the address if the house (Y/N) had bought. Opening the car door, she stepped into the front yard, property deed in hand.

What she found hurt her.

The house had been torn down, and all that remained was the concrete framework, sitting there like a skeleton.

She walked slowly into the center of the pile of concrete blocks, crying. They were meant to be together, always. Vision, Natasha, (Y/N), and now this. It was all too much for Wanda.

Red magic began spawning from her at an alarmingly fast rate. Parts of the house began to appear out of thin air, as if they had been there the whole time. First the walls, then the ceiling, then the furniture and the decorations. Finally, the magic began moving towards an invisible figure, standing across from Wanda.

There was a flash of white light. When it faded, Wanda opened her eyes to see a man with a cape and an S symbol on his chest standing in front of her.

"Wanda," Was all (Y/N) said.
