"And you're sure you don't want me to lift a car over my head?"

"(Y/N)."

"What? I could totally do it."

In response, Wanda merely gave an annoyed stare. The two of them were finalizing plans for the town's talent show. It was an annual affair, a fundraiser specifically, for the local children's hospital.

(Y/N) raised his hands in defeat. "Alright, alright. You win again."

"I don't want this to end up like that dinner we had with your boss last night." That dinner had been an absolute disaster, to say the least. Wanda never figured out what it meant and nearly attempted to seduce (Y/N)'s boss.

"Do you think that's a nightmare I want to relive?"

"No," Wanda said, smiling. "I was just teasing."

(Y/N) smiled as well. "I've got to go to work now. But I'll be back in time for the show, alright?"

Wanda nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek before he walked out the door.

(Y/N) walked into the office and to his desk, doing his best to avoid the watchful eye of his boss. After that dinner, (Y/N) had no clue what his boss would think of him.

(Y/N) worked at a local news office called the Daily Planet. He didn't have much experience being a mild-mannered reporter, but he tried his best.

"You all right there, man?" A voice came from the seat next to his.

(Y/N) turned his head to look at his fellow reporter. "I'm fine Clark, thanks for asking. How goes it with you?"

"I'm good. Average."

"How are things with Lois?"

Clark eyed the female reporter who was sitting a few feet away from the two of them. "Really, really good. I'm very happy."

"That's good to hear. You ever consider making her 'Mrs. Clark Kent?'"

Clark chuckled. "It's crossed my mind. How's Wanda doing, by the way?"

"We're having some trouble fitting in, but other than that, we're great."

"You have dinner with Mr. Hart yet?"

(Y/N) laughed out loud, then whispered to Clark, "Let's just say it didn't go as planned."

Mr. Hart walked over and pointed at (Y/N). "(L/N). My office. Now."

(Y/N) got up out of his seat while Clark chuckled at him. "Shut up, Clark."

He walked into Mr. Harts office and sat down in the chair in front of the desk. Mr. Hart sat down a moment later.

"I'm gonna be honest with you, (L/N), you've got potential here at the Daily Planet. That's why I'm giving you the top story for this week's edition."

"Me? The top story? With all do respect sir-"

"Cut the act, before I change my mind."

(Y/N) stopped speaking.

"Now. Here's the gist of it: an asteroid crashed right outside the town, and inside we found this." He placed a glowing rock onto the table.

Kryptonite? In Westview?

"You think you can study this thing a little bit, get some facts on it for the headline?"

"Sir yes sir!" (Y/N) said, a hint of nervousness in his voice. This would not end well.
