It has been 24 hours since the resurrection of (Y/N) (L/N), also known as Kal-El, also known as Superman.

He has lived, loved, and lost. He has turned to the darkness. He has wielded the infinity stones. He has come back from the dead.

He has helped humanity accomplish wonders.

And Wanda Maximoff. The Scarlet Witch. Two beings of immense power, one not of this Earth, and one from it, given gifts from the ultimate power. They should have been outcasts, but they came together and stood proud in front of the world.

But there is a dark spot in (Y/N)'s memory.

He does not know of what Wanda did in Westview, nor that she created a projection of himself, nor that they had twins together.

But secrets always come out. Eventually.

After the resurrection of (Y/N) and his disappearance, Victor Stone returned to his apartment in Gotham.

He threw one of his grey hoodies over his metal body, and looked down at the crushed tape recorder that contained his father's message.

In 5 years neither he nor his father had never decided to clean it up.

Victor held his hand over the broken recorder, and it flew into his hands, reforming piece by piece. He held it in his hand, looking down at it, and pressed the 'play' button, the recording beginning where he crushed it before.

"Now, let me speak to you from my heart," His father's voice came through,  "Not as a scientist, as a father. Huh, your father twice over. I brought you into the world and back to it. You can't imagine how proud I am, of who you are, have always been. So many years with you I've wasted, so many wrongs I've left un-righted. Everything breaks, Victor. Everything changes. The world is hurt, broken, un-exchangeable. The world's not fixed in the past, only the future. The not yet. The now. The now is you. Now, now is your time, Victor. To rise. Do this, be this, the man I never was, the hero that you are. Take your place among the brave ones. The ones that were, that are, that have yet to be. It's time you stand, fight... discover... heal, love, win. The time is now."

Arthur shook hands with Vulko, who was wielding a trident of his own. Both of them knew Arthur would have to return to Atlantis one day. His half-brother had grown too strong. But now was not that day.

"I've got to go see my father," Arthur said before sitting himself in the back of a pickup truck, tapping it twice to let the driver know he was ready. The truck drove away, towards the lighthouse where Arthur's father lived.

Bruce Wayne, in full Bat-costume, dropped in above the roof of the police station. The bat-signal had been lit, and commissioner Jim Gordon was standing next to it.

Batman leapt down in front of the commissioner.

"Just you tonight?" Jim asked.

"Just me," Batman confirmed. "What is it?"

"We have a new criminal on the lose," Jim said. "Robbed three banks in thirty minutes. Security cameras were somehow disabled the second he came in, so we couldn't get a look at his face. But he did leave a calling card."

Jim held out a green envelope to Batman, who took it, flipping it over to the front, where a large black question mark was printed. He opened the envelope.
