Hermione walked quickly as Lilith lead her through the forest and out to the path. Very quickly did the castle come into insight. Neither of them spoke on the walk, Lilith kept her stern expression the whole time, her knuckles were white from gripping her wand.

She led the two of them into the castle and silently they walked the dark halls. Hermione would occasionally look up at Lilith, hoping to catch her eye and get an explanation but Lilith kept her sights ahead of her.

Lilith quickly led them through the castle, but Hermione soon realized they weren't going to either the Ravenclaw or Gryffindor common room. Instead, she noticed, Lilith was leading her to the Library.

Lilith silently and effortlessly opened the door to the library and led Hermione to the farthest corner. A small window looked out of the forest and beyond that the black lake, the bookshelves made this corner feel more like a small room than anything else.

Lilith silently gestured for Hermione to sit, however, she did not. Instead, Hermione stood her ground and spoke,

"What is going on?" she questioned in a whisper, she looked at Lilith's back. Once Hermione finished her question Lilith turned to her. She had a harsh expression on her face,

"The better question to ask is: what the hell were you doing out there?" She now looked Hermione right in the eye, she seemed angry and almost scared.

"I..." Hermione stammer slightly but quickly gained her composer and continued, "I saw you run off after the match, I wanted to see if you were ok." it didn't take long for Lilith to respond

"Why? Why did you care enough to follow me?" She was seething with frustration. Her tone although whispered was harsh,

"I just did care enough, I like you enough to care-" Lilith quickly cut her off her words even harsher,

"I don't know you! You don't know me. There is nothing here for you to care about, I met you just days ago. That letter I wrote was merely the beginning of something, but you skipped straight to the end." She looked at Hermione, her breath was heavier as she tried to calm her frustrations. There was a silence in the library. Hermione stood almost paralyzed in the realization of this situation.

"You're right," Hermione spoke softly after a long moment of silence. Lilith took a breath and spoke softer although the tone she spoke with still had residual anger,

"Don't follow me again." Lilith turned breaking eye contact with Hermione. Hermione waited a moment, she didn't move or speak, she let the silence weigh on the both of them,

"Are you going to tell me what's going on?" She questioned hesitantly with a soft voice.

"I will tell you when the time comes." Lilith paused listening to the silence before taking a breath and continuing, "For now just leave."
