Hermione spent the next few days as she would normally do so. Moving from class to class with ease. Doing her work, spending as much time as she can with her best friends, and the occasional fleeting moments with Lilith.

Since the night they shared dancing Hermione had moments, where she would be doing anything from studying in the library, to working with plants in herbology, to even hanging out with friends when suddenly she feel this feeling of butterflies overwhelm her as she remembered that wonderful night.

The few times she had spent with Lilith were nice, they had shared a few meals and spent afternoons out in the courtyard reading or studying. Hermione enjoyed these very nice moments with Lilith, they felt of something out of fiction. Felt like a dream.

Hermione sat in the Gryffindor common room with her closest friends. The fire was warm on the cold autumn afternoon. Ginny sat on the floor with Hermione by the fire, while harry and Ron sat on the couches. They were laughing and talking as they would normally.

Hermione laughed and smiled with her friends, but with Lilith on her mind, it was hard for her to fully relax. She hated keeping the secret from her friends, these people knew her best, and yet she was hiding a large part of herself from them.

At every mention of relationship gossip, she would want to chime in, but held back, catching herself, and then just laughing along. She tried to not think about Lilith, but this proved difficult, as every little thing one of her friends mentioned reminded her of Lilith. Ginny sat clutching her knees, she was laughing at something Ron had said about some new relationship when she piped up,

"That's honestly the worst date idea I've ever heard," Her face grew a little pink, but she hadn't revealed anything just yet. Hermione looked at her and pressed for more,

"And what would you consider a good date idea?" she almost teased her friend,

"Well, I find that having a little picnic on the grounds is fun, especially when you make the basket together and then carry it out and set it all up, last time we took it down to the edge of the lake, it was wonderful," She smiled remembering the warm day her and Luna spent by the lake. Ron looked at Ginny, his face extremely confused,

"You've been on a date?!" His words were muffled as he had just stuffed some sort of sweet down his throat. Both Harry and Hermione gave a chuckle and Ginny fully burst out laughing,

"Yeah, of course, I have," Ginny spoke to Ron as if he was an idiot,

"Oh yeah with who?" He retorted, trying to prove to her that she hadn't. Harry fully spit out his drink and Hermione's giggles grew louder, "What?" He looked at the two of them then back to Ginny. Harry wiped the pumpkin juice off his mouth as he tried to recover,

"Me and Luna," Ginny non-chelated mentioned Luna's name, this caught Ron off guard,

"WHAT?!" He dropped what candy he was holding and looked baffled, Harry and Hermione looked at Ginny then back at Ron,

"Are you seriously that stupid mate?" Harry asked patting him on the shoulder,

"Why do you think Luna is almost always by Ginny's side and cheered for Gryffindor during quidditch matches. Not to mention the hand-holding and small romantic gestures," Hermione laid out the evidence to Ron, He sat there looking baffled,

"Why didn't you tell me?" He looked hurt now,

"Ron, everyone knows, I didn't think you were THAT thick," Ginny looked at Ron, almost disappointed at his obliviousness,

"Well, now we're on the topic, is ANYONE ELSE hiding a relationship from me?" He joked, the four of them laughed, and Hermione got caught up in the emotions of the day that she blurted out,

"It's not much of a relationship,"  She continued laughing not realizing what she had said, Ron, Harry, and Ginny looked at Hermione, "What?" She was oblivious,

"Ummmm... When were you going to tell me?!" Ginny questioned in an excited and slightly hurt way as best friends do. Hermione looked at her friends a moment, then realized,

"Oh... Well, I kind of told you before, but I lied a little. It was just so new and I didn't think you noticed so..." Hermine became extremely nervous as she tried to explain herself,

"THE QUIDDITCH PLAYER!!!!" Ginny lept up excited to hear more,

"Yes... the quidditch player," Hermione let out a little chuckle, "and look we're not a thing, but she is pretty great, and we've been spending a lot of time together so I don't really know," She stopped. She said it, it was surprisingly easy and felt wonderful. She let the smile on her face grow large as her friends smiled back, giving her hugs and begging for more.
