Lilith's jaw clenched tight at the words spoken to her. She narrowed her eyes and looked up to the older-looking man with salt and pepper hair and a perfectly trimmed beard. His voice sounded of the richest of alcohols, deep with the remnants of past terrors.

Lilith watched at the others around the table who had lifted their goblets and waited. Lilith locked eyes with the man across the table from him, reached for the goblet in front of her, took a sharp inhale, and took a swig from it.

The man smiled in satisfaction as the rest of the people began to drink from their goblets. Each person's face contorted at the strange flavor of the liquid that resided in the goblet, but Lilith stayed firm and kept eye contact,

"What do you want Eugene." Lilith placed her goblet down as she spoke. She wiped any remainder of the beverage from the corner of her lips. The others at the table became tenser as they tried to finish their rather bitter beverage. Eugene turned to one of the butlers on the edges of the room and began to speak to them avoiding Lilith,

"where did you find one so bitter... No, I thought I specifically told you for these people to-" He spoke in a whispered tone to the butler, but was quickly cut off by Lilith standing up rather aggressively from the table. The dishes clattered as she stood. All the heads in the room turned back to her,

"I will be in my study, None of you can come to discuss the evening or anything else until a quarter past," Once Lilith had finished speaking she chugged what was left of her drink and dropped the goblet onto the table, and exited the dining hall.

She rushed up the grand stairs of the manor and rushed down the red-carpeted halls. At the end of the twisting, halls lived a simple dark wooden door. Lilith pulled a key from her pocket and quickly opened it. The key was an old golden one with an ornate letter 'M' at the end of it.

The door swung open to reveal the small room. A desk sat at the far window, a grandfather clock sat next to the desk. Bookshelves covered the majority of the walls. Each shelf was full of books of all different languages. Along with the full bookshelves, stacks of books towered around the room, most of which consisted of journals.

There was one singular wardrobe that was full of formal attire in dark hues of black red blue and even purple. A small couch was on the opposite side of the room from the desk.

Lilith entered the room and sighed heavily as she fell onto the couch. She let her head fall into her hands as she sat in the dark room lit only by the soft moonlight. She pulled her hands from her face and looked around her room. She took a deep breath a reached for one of the closest books to her.

As she opened the small book a soft knock came from the door,

"Did you not heard what I said in the Dining Hall!" Lilith's voice broke the heavy silence she hadn't noticed,

"You know I never listen to you," A muffled voice came from behind the door. Lilith stood and opened the door to reveal a shorter girl about Lilith's age.

Her hair was pitch black and long. she had two thin braids creating a kind of half up half down fantasy style. She gave a warm smile to Lilith. Their eyes locked a moment before they both hugged deeply. Lilith pulled out of the hug and let the girl enter the room,

"How are you Azrael?" The girl wandered the room looking around in the dark,

"I'm quite fine, Why is it so dark in here. Lumos maxima" The girl quickly cast a charm to light the room. The light filled the room showing the mess of papers in books,

"Why did you attack in the forbidden forest?" Lilith tried to keep the conversation serious while Azrael dismissed the question,

"You know Eugene won't listen to anything you say when you're dressed like that. Let's get you changed," She opened the wardrobe and began to pull out black dress shirts and red ties and all kinds of formal clothing,

"Answer my question Azrael, " Lilith reached for Azrael's shoulder making her face her,

"You know why, Lilith," Silence rang out between the two of them as they looked at each other, "Now get changed Eugene will be here soon to talk to you about something."
