Sapphire sat in between my legs as I brushed through her hair. "Mommy?" "Hmm?" "Please don't get mad." "I won't honey now what is it?" "Who is my dad? I mean I know I haven't asked about him ever since Caesar filled in that spot but who is he?" I sighed. I hated it when she asked about him. Derek isn't a bad man, it's just I can't bring myself to see him. Not after what he did. "I won't tell you who he is but I'll tell you a little about him." I sighed again. "Your father is a very wealthy and intelligent man who doesn't really know about you." I said. "What do you mean?"

I saw the hurt and pain in her eyes. I couldn't hurt her small spirit. "Your dad knows that you're here in the world but he doesn't know much about you like your favorite color or your middle name." The hurt disappeared. "He should come back so we can get to know about each." Sapphire said. "Whenever I get the chance, I'll let you officially meet him."  Sapphire grinned widely. I continued to play with her hair. I just lied to a kid, my kid. I don't know if I want her to meet Derek or not. Derek isn't a terrible man, he's just not a loyal and good lover. I admit, I fell for him. I doubt that he still thinks of me. I did run away from him and I don't regret it.
