CHAPTER 14 : HOKAGE RESCUE SQUAD

With the first stroke of dawn, without wasting any time the shinobi of the Sand set out to find their Kazekage Gaara...
The squad was led by Gaara's older brother Kankuro and the Omoi was named the 2nd in Command.

Kankuro : let's go

Omoi : right.

As kankuro's platoon dashes off towards the wide desert surrounding the Sand village, the scene shifts back to Konoha...

Kakashi (adult) : this is bad, we need to find him quickly

Shikamaru : I agree. I have already mobilised a few search parties and asked them to sniff around. If they find anything, they will report back to us as quickly as possible.

Obito (kid) : we should go too. We can help.

Kakashi (kid) : beat it, Obito. It's not something we should concern ourselves with. Right, sensei?

Minato with a worried look : oh well...

Rin (kid) : what is it, sensei?

Jiraiya : you are worried about your kid, right Minato?

Minato : Well yeah, I would be lying if I said, I wasn't worried.

Rin (kid) : what kid?

Jiraiya : oh, did I forgot to mention it, this lord 7th guy, is Minato's Son. Remember we are in the future after all.

All the 3 kids exclaimed in unison with shock, "whattttt?"

Obito : congratulations sensei, for having the 7th hokage as your Son...

Minato : thanks

Before Rin could say something Shikamaru cuts them off, "this isn't the time for ideal chat, what should we do lord 6th?"

Kakashi (adutl) : let's see...
Kakashi dives into a deep thinking process and then after a minute replies, "alright then, I guess, I have a plan". Then with a smile on his face, Kakashi turns to Shikamaru and declares, "I'll go. Considering our current situation, we can't spare much manpower. If word about Hokage's disappearance gets out, who knows what would happen. This is the era of peace, but if we aren't cautious, then these peaceful times can be our downfall".

Shikamaru : where are you going with all this, Lord 6th?

Kakashi : I've decided, I'll form a team with Minato sensei, Master Jiraiya and the 3 kids over there (pointing towards Obito, Rin and kid Kakashi). With this team we will set out towards the Sand village and investigate from Ground zero. Plus I'm thinking about 3 more people to join us.

Shikamaru : that's absurd. These people are merely our guests, plus I can't let them go around messing with time-lines like that.

Kakashi (adult) : and yet, I don't have any memories of this ever happening to me.

Shikamaru : what's that got to do with anything.

Tsunade : ah, I see. Kakashi's implying that if this had previously happened with him, then he should have a memory of it. But apparently, he doesn't. So I bet, he's thinking that it has something to do with this mission, right Kakashi?

Kakashi (adutl) : Exactly. It's just a hunch, but I believe this mission might help us better understand this entire situation, and possibly gives us some answers too.

Shikamaru : that makes sense, I guess. But it's still nothing more than a mere hunch. Things may not go as smoothly as you think lord 6th...

Jiraiya : that sounds interesting. I'm in. What do you say Minato?
