Changbin entered your hospital room again, even in the dim light he could see your puffy eyes. After all that you'd put him through he still felt a little bad. Your back was to the door.
Chris had fallen asleep in the chair next to the door, his head lolling to one side, drooling a bit. Hyunjin, Changbin figured, had gone out for another smoke break.
"I was going to do right, you know," your voice hoarse.
"Y/n-"
"I'm not my mother!!"
"Y/n-"
"I worked so hard!" You cry out, "I changed for her!"
Changbin sat down on the edge of your bed so he face the same way as you.
You start crying again, "I promised I wasn't going to be like her."
Changbin bit his tongue.
after a long moment in the silence, you spoke again.
"I can come visit you from time to time, right?"
Changbin stared at you. Of all the things to ask him in this moment, that was not one.
"No," he said quietly.
you wiped away your silent tears, gazing up into his eyes.
Changbin's eyes filled with tears as he spoke to you for the last time.
"I'm sorry, Y/n."
