~Still Flashback~

Dimentio's POV:

I held my broken and bloody nose as I suppressed a scream of frustration. I was back at Dimension D and Mr.L had just confronted Daisy, claiming that he would start hurting people if he didn't get 'the book', which in my opinion was very vague.

"Ow, ow, ow," I muttered as I tried putting my mask back on.

"Come ON! I'm the only person here and it clearly hurts to put that back on." Mr.L stated.

"I'm not comfortable with anyone seeing my face!" I exclaimed.

He wore a mask to separate his identity from Luigi's, I wore a mask because I hate myself. Last time I had it off I was accused of being a monster. So never again.

"Fiiiiiiine. If you wanna be a drama queen about it." Mr.L muttered.

I finally slipped it back onto my face. It will also help hide my broken nose.

"So, you threatened them in exchange for the book?" I asked.

"Yup. Ms.OrangeDress is gonna go back to Mr.GreenJumpsALot and tell him about what I said." Mr.L stated, "I know how his mind works. He will think that he has EVERYTHING under control and then make some reckless decision."

"Then let's make that decision reckless in our favor." I chuckled.

My phone started ringing again.

"WHAT DOES HE WANT NOW?!?!" Mr.L shouted.

I sighed and picked up the phone.

--------------A Few Moments Later--------------

"For the last time! Why do you keep coming to ME for help? Last I checked, you said I wasn't to be trusted!" I spat.

This was becoming mildly irritating. Why would he keep turning to ME for help? I was back in Luigi's home.

"I know I said that! But you're the only one who actually knew Mr.L!" Luigi replied, "So I would think YOU should be the first person I go to!"

"He's YOUR alter-ego!" I retorted.

"Not anymore, remember?!" Luigi exclaimed.

He out a sigh. L chuckled.

"I think he just might remember." Mr.L laughed.

"Look, I know that I shouldn't be asking you to help, especially since I did so several times already..." Luigi said, "But I learned the hard way that ending Mr.L's game was the wrong approach. I made that mistake and now he's mad at me... So I want to try and get to him so I could talk it out, or something..."

L scoffed.

"I've fallen for that one before." Mr.L stated, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me TWICE, shame on ME. Now fool me a THIRD TIME and I'm going to kill someone!"

Luigi looked down at his feet. I stood there, trying to process this. Was his offer truly genuine?

"Luigi..." I started.

"Yes?" Luigi questioned.

"I..." I paused.

Perhaps now was not the best time to reveal anything. Instead, I'll let L confront him about this.

"I think that I may be able to help..." I finished.

"You do?" Luigi asked.

"Yes. Simply place a trap. If Mr.L is after the Dark Prognosticus, use it as leverage against him. Hide it in plain sight and connect it to a trap that would be sprung once it is taken." I told him.
