~Flashback~
Dimentio's POV:
"Luigi, open up. I have things to do and places to be!" I shouted, banging on his front door.
Luigi had called me over claiming that it was 'an urgent matter'. But I highly doubted that.
"I'll get it! Can't you wait for a few seconds, Dimentio?!" Luigi yelled back at me.
"Can't YOU go any faster?!" I retorted.
I could hear him groaning as he eventually made it to the door. He opened it and I gave him one of my trademark grins.
"Hello, Luigi," I said, "What did you need me for. After all, I am supposed to be... DEAD."
Luigi motioned for me to step inside.
"I'll explain as best as I can," Luigi replied.
He led me inside and I hoped and prayed that his brother was not here. For all I knew it was a trap. But I came because he claimed that it had something to do with L. And we didn't exactly leave on good terms.
After a few minutes of explanation, I was able to piece his story together.
"So you are saying, that Mr.L is tormenting you in your own subconscious and he is threatening to take over?" I asked.
Luigi nodded meekly. I couldn't contain my laughter burst out laughing. Luigi turned red.
"What's so funny?!" Luigi exclaimed.
"What kind of man can't control the voices in his own head?! AH HA HA!" I laughed.
"Mr.L is NOT just a voice! He's become stronger than that!" Luigi retorted.
"I know that he is not just a voice, if anything he's much more than YOU." I stated, "What is the purpose for telling me this anyway? You know very well that I would take L's side over yours in a heartbeat."
"I need your help to sever him from me for good!" Luigi stated.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"I already did that, you imbecile." I retorted.
"You removed him PHYSICALLY from me, not SPIRITUALLY!" Luigi replied, "I want you to get rid of him for good!"
"Absolutely NOT! I refuse to kill L!" I stated, crossing my arms, "And you cannot make me!"
"Then I'll do it myself!" Luigi shouted.
He got up and went to his shelf. He pulled down the pot that contained the Floro Sprout with L's consciousness inside.
"I'm getting rid of him whether you're helping or not!" Luigi exclaimed.
I took this into consideration. Luigi was definitely not bluffing, for once. I then decided that I should 'help', in an attempt to prevent him from doing anything stupid. I let out a sigh.
"Very well..." I muttered.
"I said that I won't let you stop-!" Luigi paused, "What?"
"I might as well see L off, if it is the only thing left that I could do for him. Make it as painless as possible for him." I stated.
Luigi stood there in shock. He didn't think that I would actually agree to help apparently. Made sense.
"O-okay. Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Luigi stated.
Luigi thrust the pot into my arms and then trooped outside. I chuckled under my breath as I gently took out the sprout from the pot.
"I won't let you get away THAT easily." I murmured.
I snapped my fingers, making another sprout appear, though this one was empty inside. Like a blank slate. If I just poketed the Floro Sprout containing L, Luigi would surely sense that he was still alive. What should I do about that...
I looked over the plant containing L's mind, and the roots that twisted and curved in search of someone to latch on to.
An idea struck me.
I looked out the door to see that Luigi had already gone outside. I planted the copy sprout into the pot and then snapped my fingers, making a clone appear. I gave it the pot.
"Go outside with the man in green and follow his instructions. Act oblivious to what I have done, got it?" I commanded.
"Of course~! Happy to be of service." My clone replied.
It quickly floated out after Luigi. The man in green wouldn't suspect a THING. I gripped the Floro Sprout in my hand and went to the nearest bathroom. I went inside and shut the door, locking it and making sure the blinds were down on the window. After one more check, I took off my jester hat. I looked down at the sprout.
"This shall be painful..." I murmured.
I closed my eyes and then snapped my fingers, making the plant that was just in my hand transport itself so it would root in my brain. I repressed screams as I could feel the plant go through my skull. The roots wrapping around my cerebrum (brain) with vice-like grip. After what seemed like a few hours of agony, the pain subsided, leaving me with an odd feeling. As if my brain was now numb. I could hear footsteps that seemed much louder than they probably were run past the door.
I put my hat back on to conceal the sprout and went out of the bathroom. Luigi had rushed back inside and was now looking at a mirror with a wide smile, like one you would see on a giddy child. I floated up to him and he took me by the shoulders, shaking me vigorously.
"Haha! It worked!" Luigi exclaimed, pointing at his reflection.
I grogily looked up at the mirror and stared. MY reflection was not there. I could only see L. Not Luigi taking me by the shoulders, but Luigi taking Mr.L by the shoulders.
"Yes... Yes it did..." I replied.
