"Daisy, can you please let me go to bed?" Luigi asked tiredly.
"Weegee, sweety, I love you, but I would like it if you help me now rather than later," Daisy replied.
The two of them were finally moving in together. Well, they had been living together, but it was now official because they were unpacking the last box! But it was almost 11 pm. Luigi yawned.
"How about this, I'll go to bed, and then in the morning, I'll help you with whatever else, okay?" Luigi offered.
Daisy sighed.
"Fine. But I will take you up on that!" Daisy replied.
Luigi chuckled lightly as he made his way to his room. He threw himself onto his bed with a sigh. He started to slowly drift off to sleep until he heard something.
"Oh, Luigi~!"
Luigi groaned in frustration as he turned to face the voice of his alter ego. Luigi kept a full-body mirror in his room, which was where Mr.L would constantly pay a visit. Though he was not actually there, he was just projected by Luigi's subconscious.
"What, L?" Luigi asked flatly.
"I. Want. OUT." Mr.L stated.
"No," Luigi replied, turning away from the mirror, "I'm never letting you out. You've become too violent for your own good. And I'm NOT sprouting myself either!"
Mr.L pressed his hands to the glass barrier.
"Heh heh heh... You think that you can keep me in here?" Mr.L asked.
He slammed his fist against the glass, causing it to crack. Luigi let out a yelp of pain as he held his fist. Both Mr.L and Luigi now had bloody cuts down their hands.
"NO ONE CAN CONTAIN THE GREEN THUNDER!" Mr.L shouted, "We're still connected whether you like it or NOT! You'll slip one day and I'll be there to take control! I'm getting stronger and you know it!"
Luigi stood up, clutching his wound.
"That's enough, Mr.L!" Luigi exclaimed, "I'm not as ignorant as I was! I have too much to live for just to let you go on a murder streak!"
Luigi plopped back down on his bed.
"Now, please let me get some sleep," Luigi muttered.
Luigi quickly fell asleep. Mr.L crossed his arms with a huff.
"I refuse to be just a shadow." Mr.L growled.
---------------
The morning was finally coming around. Daisy had eventually crawled into bed alongside Luigi and they were both sleeping soundly. Or at least Daisy was. Luigi's dreams were always tormented with the thoughts of what Mr.L had done. All those crimes. The murders. All that blood...
This particular dream was most horrifying. The nightmare was of Mr.L murdering several innocent Toads right in front of his very eyes. And he couldn't do a thing about it.
Luigi shot awake in a cold sweat with a gasp.
"NO!" Luigi shouted.
Daisy bolted awake at the sound of him yelling as he tried to regulate his breathing.
"Luigi, what's wrong?" Daisy asked.
Luigi turned away and clutched the wound on his hand. Daisy saw it before he covered it up.
"Where did that come from?" Daisy asked.
"Nowhere..." Luigi muttered.
Luigi never told Daisy that he could still see him in his reflection, and never intended to. But Mr.L was right, he was getting stronger. Daisy sighed.
"Alright. I'm going to unpack the last box and I want you to properly bandage yourself up!" Daisy said.
Luigi nodded as Daisy left the room. Luigi let out a sigh as he walked over to the bathroom. Every time he looked in the mirror, he saw him. He wrapped his hand in some bandages and then went back to his room. Luigi glanced at a shelf. On that shelf was a pot of soil with a single sprout sticking out. THAT was the Floro Sprout that Mr.L was held captive in. He never told Daisy where he put the Sprout, and she never found out. Luigi buried his face in his hands.
"What am I going to do?! Mr.L is right! He's getting stronger and I can't do anything about it!" Luigi muttered, "Sooner or later someone will find out... I need someone's advice. Someone who is an expert on Floro Sprouts and losing one's mind..."
Luigi's eyes went wide as he got an idea. He knew JUST the person!
"I'm probably gonna regret this..." Luigi chuckled.
