Mario, Luigi, and Daisy waited in the living room with a lot of anxiety. And why wouldn't they? They had one of the most powerful people in all of the worlds tied up to a chair in the house! Mario tapped his foot impatiently.
"Do you really think it's a good idea to bring even more villains here?" Mario questioned, "I mean, I trust him a LOT more than Dimentio and Mr.L, but still."
"He's not a villain anymore, and yes. It would be best for as many people as possible to forgive him that he thought wronged him." Luigi stated.
"Speaking of which. When is this guy supposed to show up?" Daisy asked.
Just then, they could hear knocking on the door.
"I got it!" Luigi exclaimed.
Luigi jumped up and ran to the door. He skidded to a stop and opened the door, being immediately greeted by a tall blue-skinned man.
"Greetings Luigi! It has been a while, hasn't it?" Blumiere chuckled.
"Hello Lord Blumiere! It has been a while." Luigi replied.
"Please, you may just call me Blumiere," Blumiere told him, "Could you please explain to me why I have been summoned here? And requested not to bring along Timpani, of all things?"
"Uhhh, right. Mario, Daisy, and I will try to explain as best as we can." Luigi stated, "But first, let me show you to the living room."
"Fair enough, lead on," Blumiere replied.
Luigi led him into the living room where Mario and Daisy were.
"Hey, Blumiere." Mario greeted.
Daisy just waved.
"Hello, you two. Now could you please explain to me why you all look so... on edge?" Blumiere requested.
"Heh. How about you show him, Luigi?" Mario said.
"Show me what..?" Blumiere asked, becoming suspicious.
Luigi knew that Mario was just trying to spite him at this point.
"Y'know what! Maybe I WILL show him!" Luigi spat, taking Blumiere by the hand.
Mario appeared taken aback.
"Whoa, y-you know I was just joking, right?" Mario questioned, "I don't think that's a good idea."
"Too bad! I'm showing him!" Luigi retorted.
Before Mario could make an excuse, Luigi started dragging Blumiere down the hallway.
"Er, Luigi, I'm not appreciating this charade you all are putting on." Blumiere said, "Could you please inform me on what's going on here?!"
Luigi sighed as he stopped in front of his bedroom door.
"You may look inside." Luigi said, "But please, no sudden movements, loud noises, or anything too... threatening."
Blumiere scoffed.
"You sound as if you have a feral animal held hostage in there." Blumiere stated, "You... don't have a wild animal in there, do you?"
"Uh, no." Luigi said.
Blumiere cast one last glance at Luigi before turning towards the door. He reached for the doorknob but thought that he could hear voices inside, so he pressed his ear to the door instead.
"I'm telling you! WE'RE GOING TO BE KILLED! Like animals in a slaughterhouse!"
"You don't think I know that?! But we haven't lost all hope! Mr.ManInGreen seems to think he can bust us out."
"HE BETRAYED US ONCE AND HE'LL DO IT AGAIN!!! WE'RE GOING TO GET LOCKED UP IN THE UNDERWHERE!!!"
"Hey, calm down. I'm right here, okay? Just take DEEP BREATHS."
"Since when did you lecture people on breathing exercises?"
"Since I didn't want to black out from lack of oxygen. Now BREATH."
Blumiere turned back towards Luigi.
"How many people are in there?" Blumiere asked.
"Um... One or two depending on who you ask." Luigi answered.
"Uh... What is that supposed to mean..?" Blumiere questioned, suspicion evident in his tone.
"Just look inside." Luigi muttered.
Blumiere narrowed his eyes in confusion as Luigi took a few big steps away from the door. With a deep breath, Blumiere slightly opened the door and peered inside. He could see reflective glass shards scattered all over the floor from the mirror they managed to shatter. Blumiere peered further back into the room to see Mr.L and Dimentio tied to a chair, but he didn't recognize them. They were attempting the breathing exercises Mr.L had suggested.
"Are you fine now?" Mr.L asked.
"Yes, I think that kind of helped..." Dimentio murmured when they finished.
He looked up from the floor and froze in place, going wide-eyed as soon as he saw Blumiere. Blumiere paled and then slowly shut the door as he backed out of the room. He then took a deep inhale and turned to Luigi.
"Luigi. Who is that in there?" Blumiere asked as calm as he could.
"I-I thought you would recognize..." Luigi trailed off.
"I do. I do. But I want to hear it from your mouth." Blumiere replied, struggling to keep a straight face.
"It's Mr.L... and Dimentio." Luigi stated.
"Why did both of their voices come from that one body?" Blumiere asked.
"That's Dimentio's body... And I tried to get rid of Mr.L and Dimentio became his alter-ego so he wouldn't die." Luigi replied.
"And who's idea was to tie them TO A CHAIR?!" Blumiere exclaimed.
"Mario's..." Luigi muttered.
Blumiere took another deep breath.
"I need to have a word with the man in red." Blumiere said flatly.
Luigi trailed behind Blumiere as he stomped back over to the living room. Mario chuckled as soon as he noticed Blumiere coming back towards him and Daisy.
"See?" Mario said, "I'm sure that Blumiere agrees we need to do somethi-"
"WHY DID YOU TIE THEM TO A CHAIR?! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT MADE THINGS WORSE?!" Blumiere shouted.
Daisy couldn't help but laugh as Mario recoiled from his outburst.
"But this is Dimentio AND Mr.L we're talking about! The last time they shared a body they almost destroyed EVERYTHING!" Mario retorted.
"No~ They are my CLOSE FRIENDS and I see them for the first time in almost 15 years TIED TO A CHAIR IN A DARK ROOM!!!" Blumiere exclaimed, "I demand that you untie them at ONCE! They are obviously not faring well!"
"But they'll try and kill us the second we release them!" Mario spat.
"Which is WHY we are all going to apologize." Luigi stated, "Including you Mario."
"Wha-? Fine! Let's put this to a vote." Mario said, "All in favor for sending them back to the Underwhere where they belong?"
Mario was the only one to raise his hand.
"Now. All in favor for APPOLOGIZING to them and letting them GO, raise your hand." Luigi said.
Mario lowered his hand and Luigi, Blumiere, and Daisy raised there's.
"You too?!" Mario exclaimed at Daisy.
"Yes me too. Luigi has been right about everything else, he's probably right about this too." Daisy stated.
Luigi smirked as Mario let out a sigh of defeat.
"Fine... I'll say sorry to them." Mario groaned.
"Good." Luigi replied.
