Once the nurse offered Aubrey to watch over Sunny, she accepted without hesitation. However, it was in the heat of the moment and so she needs to get some stuff finished and cleared up. However, before all that she wants to get some things done in the hospital. The first thing she wants to do is see how Basil is doing. After all, he's out of the loop on Sunny's condition. When Aubrey walks down to Basil's hospital room, she's surprised to see the door open. When Aubrey peeks inside, she sees Basil packing some things up.

"Hey Basil."

Basil jumps a bit before facing Aubrey and lets out a sigh of relief.

"Hello Aubrey." Basil answers. "How's Sunny? I heard from Kel and Hero about what happened."

"Oh yeah. Kel said he will come here after he talked to me before." Aubrey said in realization.

There was an awkward silence between the two.

"What has Kel told you?" Aubrey asks.

"Sunny tried to jump off the hospital roof and by doing so, reopened his wounds." Basil said as he sat down on his bed. "I think I have an idea on why he would do that."

Aubrey pulls up a chair and sits down. She takes a good look at Basil and sees that he's covered in bruises and she didn't realize how much his black eye is shown until now. Sunny really did a number on him. Surprisingly strong for a hikikomori or whatever they're called.

"After confessing on what he did to Mari, he didn't feel like he deserves to live after making you guys go through a wild goose chase and making me share his burden of knowing the death of his sister." Basil said, surprising Aubrey. "Did I get it right?"

"Yeah."

There was more silence between the two.

"Did Sunny ever mention why he and I got in a fight?" Basil asks.

Aubrey simply nods 'no' and Basil sighs. He, too, has a lot to explain to his pink haired friend. Or used to be friends.

"When I saw Sunny for the first time, the fear I had of seeing Mari since the last four years has awoken in a big way." Basil begins. "I think it was a first for Sunny, but this apparition caused by hanging Mari's body haunted me and him."

"What kind of apparition? Like a ghost?"

"No." Basil said with a shake of his head. "It was like our fear manifesting and surrounding us. It was....something."

Aubrey didn't know why, but goosebumps crawled up her skin at the word 'something'. The word was nothing special, but when Basil said it, the word itself felt frightening.

"While Sunny was the cause of Mari's death, I caused the trauma." Basil admits. "After me and Su...sorry. After I hung Mari's body, we did what we shouldn't have done. We looked back."

All Basil did was backup Sunny on the truth. Nothing more and nothing less. Aubrey is the first person he told his point of the story to. Several feelings were welling up inside Aubrey as Basil explains his side of the story. Fear, rage, sorrow, and discomfort. Too many for her to process, but she put those aside so she can listen to Basil.

"When we looked back...we saw Mari...literally staring back at us." Basil said as his voice began to shake.

"Her eyes were open?" Aubrey asks, quivering.

"An open, yet lifeless eye that was surrounded by Mari's long black hair." Basil confirms. "It was then that this 'Something' appeared. It took the appearance of a one eyed...figure with long and mangy black tentacles."
