Sorry for the long update. After posting two chapters in one week, I wanted a break to myself. Still, I didn't think I would take so long so sorry. I don't own Omori.

Sunny begins to stir. He groans and blinks a few times. He turns his head towards his window to see the sun just barely rising over the horizon. Normally, Sunny hates waking up. Still, for some reason he feels oddly relieved. Almost as if a weight was lifted off his chest. It was hard for Sunny to describe. Sunny looks at his clock to see the time. It's just past 7:30am. Sunny turns to see Aubrey. It's still pretty dim, so he couldn't really see her face very well, but he can tell that she seems to be sleeping fine. Sunny decides to give Aubrey some more shut eye and takes it upon himself to get a head start.

I should reconsider what I should do. Sunny tells himself. I can't stay like this now that Mom has passed.

Sleep did a good job in helping Sunny forget the worries of reality. Always had. However, Sunny knew that he needed to get an idea of what decisions he should make regarding what those people said. Sunny needs to clear his mind a bit more and decides to wash his face or better yet, take a shower.

"Sunny..."

Sunny perks and turns to face a sleeping Aubrey. Sunny kneels to take a better look. Upon closer inspection, Sunny could see tears falling from Aubrey's closed eyes. Scared, Sunny shakes Aubrey's shoulder.

"...mmm..."

Aubrey seemingly turns over much to Sunny's dismay. Sunny then realizes that Aubrey seemed unusually calm. Perhaps she just had a memorable dream? Sunny didn't know and so he made the final decision to leave Aubrey alone.

"I want a bath." Sunny mumbles to himself.

Once Sunny leaves the room, Aubrey opens her eyes. Little did Sunny know that he indeed actually woke her up. Just that it took her a bit longer to respond. Aubrey sits up slowly and yawns out loud. She then notices the tears dripping down her face and wipes them off.

I can't really remember what I was dreaming about. Aubrey thought as she tried to focus a bit. I remember fighting some sort of person and then going...

Aubrey blinks a couple times and is saddened at the realization.

Oh yeah, I was fighting Omori and then he showed me a moment of Headspace. Aubrey told herself. Sunny's dream world with everyone all happy. Even Mari...

Aubrey decides to put those thoughts in the back of her head. She doesn't want to get all sentimental. It was a long week and she's tired of being depressed. She can only imagine that Sunny is also feeling something similar if not possibly worse. Aubrey gets out of her sleeping bag and stretches her arms out while letting out a long yawn. Normally she would take a shower after waking up, but Sunny is in it.

"I'm hungry." Aubrey groans.

She leaves the bedroom and heads downstairs. The sunlight is getting a bit brighter so Aubrey can see a bit better. Aubrey makes her way to the kitchen and goes to the pantry. Thankfully, there was still some cereal left and the dishware wasn't packed yet. Aubrey opens the fridge and sees some milk. She opens the cap and an overwhelming smell is released from the carton.

"Uagh!" Aubrey gags. "What the hell? Is the milk spoiled?"

Little did Aubrey know that the electricity wasn't running in the house for a while and so the milk got warm during that period. No one knew this, but because Sunny's mom knew that her son would be living in the old house for a while, she allowed the electricity to run. However, that didn't stop the milk from being spoiled. Aubrey puts the milk back into the fridge and accepts the fact she'll have to eat her cereal without milk. Aubrey begins to munch on the cereal and as she does so begins to reminisce on the events of yesterday evening. Meanwhile, Sunny is still washing himself slowly. He finds himself in a bit of pain and the loss of his eye is affecting his senses. He has assumed that he would get used to it by now, but that didn't seem to be the case. Sunny assumes the reason why is because he doesn't have his eyepatch.
