Thank you for your ongoing support support. I don't own Omori.
The trip to the cemetery was both warm and heartbreaking. However, to Sunny and Aubrey, it was worth visiting. They felt at ease knowing that Sophia is laying rest next to her late daughter Mari. However, now that the officers have arrived, it also means that they're here to await Sunny's choice. After all, that's most likely the main reason for them to arrive here. Since the two officers were the ones to take the couple to the church, they also had to take them back. So, after Sunny and Aubrey finished paying their respects, they met back with the officers.
"Thank you again." Sunny told the officers. "That was very thoughtful of you guys."
Both officers nod in response.
"It was the least we could've done." the female officer said. "After all, you need something to remember your mother by."
"Thanks for that." Aubrey adds.
After the exchange of thanks, the four get into the officer's vehicle and head back to Sunny's place. Eventually, they made it back after a silent trip back.
"I assume you want to talk about what I want to do in the future." Sunny asks after getting out of the car.
"That's one of the reasons why we're here." the man said. "Of course, we thought your mother's burial should've been top priority. After all, we wanted your mental state to fall after the loss of family."
The officer takes a look at Sunny who looks back at him questioningly.
"I've seen people react to deaths on many occasions." the officer said. "Reporting car accident deaths does that. However, when I met you, I could tell that you've seen death before."
Sunny and Aubrey look at the officer surprised.
"How..."
"You took it in pretty fast." the officer said. "I've seen many being unable to handle the reality or breakdown immensely for hours."
Aubrey gets a flashback of Sunny's reaction to his mother's death. She remembers how Sunny nearly had a panic attack. She and the others had to comfort him. Still, now that she thinks about it, it didn't take long for him to recover. Even after reading his mom's letter, Sunny cried only for a while. Aubrey didn't really take note of that since she, too, was pretty emotional.
"That's not something you should say to a boy like him." scolds the female officer.
"It's fine." Sunny reassures me. "I had an older sister, Mari, who's buried next to mom. She died four years ago."
Aubrey and the officers were silent.
"I was depressed for so long, but now I have my friends here to help me so I don't feel as scared or sad as before." Sunny said with a warm smile.
Aubrey blushes happily at Sunny's response. She's happy to be of help to Sunny in his time of need. The officers also smile at Sunny's answer and drop the topic. Then, the four enter the house.
"Here you can sit over there." Sunny said pointing to the dining room table.
As the officers head to the dining room table, Sunny signals Aubrey.
"Yeah?" Aubrey asks in a low voice.
"Can you keep them company?" Sunny asks. "I need to use the bathroom."
"What am I going to do?" Aubrey hisses. "I don't do well with adults if you haven't noticed."
"Give them water or something." Sunny whispers.
Before Aubrey can respond, Sunny hurries upstairs to use the bathroom leaving Aubrey by herself. Aubrey was stunned. With a heavy sigh, Aubrey goes to meet with the officers.
