Thank you for your dedication in the Q&A. I don't own Omori.
After reading his mom's letter and getting hit with a bombardment of life changing options, Sunny is in dire need of some rest. Of course, that won't be easy. He wasn't expecting it to be easy. Thankfully, Aubrey will be staying over so he won't feel alone. Sunny is very happy about that. Once Sunny and Aubrey reach the top of the stairs, Aubrey looks at Sunny with a bit of concern.
"You want to take a bath?" Aubrey asks. "You're sweating quite a bit."
Sunny rubs his forehead with his arm. He's drenched in cold sweat. No surprise from all that has happened. Sunny simply nods an agreement. Thankfully, there were still some towels and clothes left unpacked. Plus, the water is still working so taking a shower wouldn't be hard. Also, unlike back in the hospital, Sunny was physically better so he won't need help. Thank god.
"Uhh, Sunny." Aubrey asks as she nervously pulls his shirt. "Do you..uh..need help?"
Sunny can see the red on Aubrey's cheeks despite the darkness and no doubt, he can feel his own face heating up as well.
"No." Sunny whispers.
Aubrey lets out a soft sigh and slowly lets go of Sunny. With that Sunny heads to his room with Aubrey tagging along.
"It has changed a lot since I last been here." Aubrey said as she rubs her hand against the boxes. "I think the last time I went into your room was at your birthday..."
"Mmm." Sunny hums as he opens his drawers for his PJ's.
Aubrey then comes to a realization. Where will she sleep? Aubrey groans as she curses her inability to think ahead once more. Well, there's his mother's room. Aubrey can only assume that no one will use it now.
"Hey Sunny, can I sleep in your mom's room?" Aubrey asks, pointing next door, but regrets her words. "I'm sorry. That's insensitive of me. I'll sleep downstairs."
With that, Aubrey turns before beginning to leave the room and heads downstairs. All of the sudden, Aubrey felt a tug on her sleeve. It's Sunny.
"Don't go." he whispers. "Don't leave me."
"I'm not going anywhere." Aubrey said as she held Sunny's hand.
Aubrey can feel Sunny shake. Is he scared? Is it because he felt like she was leaving him?
"Why do people leave me?"
"I won't leave you."
"Where are you going?"
"Nowhere."
"Really?"
"Really."
Aubrey lets go of Sunny and smiles.
"Can you sleep in my room?" Sunny nervously asks. "I can grab a sleeping bag for you."
"Sure." Aubrey said. "But, you should really go take a shower."
Sunny nods slowly and points to his closet where the supposed sleeping bag is. Aubrey walks towards the closet and swings it open letting out a bunch of stuffed toys. Aubrey was about to complain to Sunny, but he already left the room. She then hears the water turn on.
"Ugh. Where's the sleeping bag?" Aubrey groans to herself.
After some closet spelunking, Aubrey manages to pull out a purple sleeping bag amongst the pile of toys. Aubrey then tries to stuff all of Sunny's toys back into his closet and curses on how many toys Sunny has. Finally, she manages to shut the door and begins to unroll the sleeping bag. Of course, the sleeping bag had dust on it and so Aubrey decided to air it outside. As she flaps the sleeping bag against the stair rails to get rid of the dust. Aubrey hears the shower turn on and is glad that Sunny is able to wash himself.
