After the arrival of our delicious fried chicken and other items, I plated them all. Back at my mansion, this was the task of a maid and my food was always plated by the servants but here I was. Ironically in their shoes. Not that I looked down upon it because it was fun being responsible for once. Viktor and I dug into our meals once I had plated the food and thrown away the extra bag and wrapping paper it came with. The burger was crunchy and tasted so good, I almost cried because of how delicious it was. KFC had always been one of my favorite fast food restaurants and I was more than thankful for Vktor.
In this moment, he was nothing less than my angel and savior.
I was a girl that would kill to have a KFC meal.
He didn't seem mad at me now but his hard gaze still hadn't softened. Always looking at me with furrowed eyebrows and a face void of any emotions. For the first time, I was talking to a man as if we were friends which had never happened before.
My parents always told me to stay away from men since they were ought to bring me nothing but pain which lead me to only befriending girls. Though that didn't help either. It wasn't about the gender but the person and their intentions. Women could be cruel, men could be nice. It all depended on the person's intentions.
Even while eating, my silly stomach grumbled in desperation and I felt like shit too. Viktor's words were cruel and mean, reminding me of my parents but I probably would forget about them tomorrow morning and carry on as if nothing had happened.
That's always what I did. My motto was fake it till you make it which helped too.
Feeling insecure? Fake it till you make it. Sad? Fake it till you make it.

The silence surrounding us was comfortable and I reveled in it. Viktor had already finished his meal but I was still on my burger since I took small bites even though I was very hungry. My bare feet tapped against the rods of the stool that supported the seat — enjoying each and every bite with delicacy. Compared to to him, I was small and it made me suppress a laugh everytime.
Eira, you're actually stupid talking back to such a buff looking man. He can eat you up.
"This feels weird," A deep voice spoke up causing me to look up at the male. His coat was still draped around my shoulders offering me warmth.
His warmth. The coat was seeped in his scent and I loved it. His perfume was definitely expensive and he smelled like sandalwood and this musky scent radiated off him. Reminding me of the atmosphere of a dior store.
