Today was the special day. The gala day, was what me and the other maids called it. Viktor's outfits for his charity gala had arrived already for him to pick one from. I was handed the responsibility to stand by him and give my opinion when I was asked. Our last encounter lead me to ignore him constantly for a few days, always having a excuse to slip under his gaze but this time, I couldn't. Eve had pushed me towards the stairs and I couldn't understand why.
I understood that she had trouble trusting the other maids with him. But the man should have some sort of self control to not bang the maids of the house, right?
"Get me that maroon tie." I nodded my head and lifted up the red tie laid out in the long wide drawer, handing it over to the male who was standing in front of the long mirror.
His walk in closet was fabulous. Dark obsidian walls with pale steele linings. There were two long tall mirrors with lights impaled around the edges. Different drawers for different accessories. Hell, he even had a whole different drawer dedicated just to his watches and his ties. In the lower section were his shoes. All types of shoes. Loafers, combat boots, joggers, sneakers and what not of other categories.
Viktor couldn't decide between the dark blue tie and maroon tie. I could tell he was struggling but struggling when you looked like walking sin was amusing. Even the pretty ones struggle. I had my hands behind my back while my pupils flited here and there since I had no idea what to do. I wasn't asked for help or an opinion and I couldn't just tell him which one to pick.
"I think the simple black will do."
"No, it wouldn't." I spoke to myself but to my bad luck, the man's senses were strong and he picked up on my words. Turning around, he fixed his gaze on me with an eyebrow quirked upwards. A skill I wish I possessed. "It wouldn't? Is there a reason to why it wouldn't?"
I gulped the lump that had formed in my throat, taking a step back when Viktor took one towards me and as much as I wanted to give him my opinion, his scary aura made me want to hide under his bed. Or in his massive closet.
"Do you not like it?"
I shook my head and pointed towards the bed where the black tie with golden designs resembling the logo of Versace laid, giving a spectacular and luxurious look. "The gold one will look good with a simple suit and vest. The tie is enough to make the suit more elegant."
Viktor eyed me for a good minute before picking up the mentioned tie and magically throwing it into a beautiful, neat knot. It looked good like I had said and matched the obsidian suit he was wearing as well.
"Fix my button." He ordered.
Pivoting from the messed up ties I was supposed to fix, I eyed him like he had grown two heads. Gorgeous two heads.
Exhaling the anger and hatred for being ordered around, I tossed the tie back into the drawer and reached for him. Looking at the button of his parted coat and his buttoned vests, I was put in a perplexed state. The buttons were all in position, not one single bud needed to be fixed. "The buttons are fine."
