Certifying A Myth.

The other parents of the children still feeling the effects of that night ask Marc for their help, without hesitation, he helps everyone of them. The town soon forgive Marc, although there shouldn't have been anything to forgive, so Marc just accepts that, that his town shunning is over with. Marielle, gets a calls from Alisa, she tells her that she woke up and her bed was on fire, with a wave of her hand she was able to extinguish it. Alisa is frightened about this, she asks Marielle what's happened? Marielle was about to lie then says, "don't get mad, but on the night of the sleepover, you woke up, I found you in the basement at Iris's. I heard you communicate with your guide, you're a pyrokinetic. You can harness fire." Alisa said "you didn't stop me?" Marielle tells her, she was asleep, I can't go in the circle when someone else is in it. You need to tell your mom." Alisa tells her "she already knows, I tried to hide the burned bedding but she caught me." Marielle asks her what her mother said? My mom said she's happy that I've finally embraced my nature. Now I have it's up to me to complete the coven, mom is going to begin practicing again to help me.

Alisa's mom Joan calls Iris, telling her that Alisa has learned who she is now, we must have a coven meeting before the next Sabbat, we need to introduce Alisa. Iris asks Joan what Alisa's gift is? Joan replies, "she has the power of pyrokenesis, it's one of the strongest gifts." Iris says, "indeed, keep her away from Agnes, I know she lives near you, she will try and steal Alisa's power for herself. I've been unable to get her to the circle to have her exorcised, she's a danger to every witch and warlock in Salem." Joan promises she will and she'll help her subdue Agnes. Alisa is brought with her mom to Iris's, although they're from different lineages, they're all still natural witches. They must be included in circle meetings. Marc and his sisters and brothers are invited, it's a huge meeting. Iris has a huge barn, she uses it for multi coven meetings. The good thing is Iris has cast a boundary spell on the land, she can't enter. In the meeting, Alisa is given a robe, she's asked to contact her spirit guide and to learn how to control her gift even while asleep. Joan tells the group that she is prepared to practice again, she will help her daughter, the group ask if Celeste will return? Joan tells them, "Celeste has found a new love, we'll let her live her life, then she'll come home when she's ready. Let her come home if her own free will." The group agrees.

Marielle and Alisa become inseparable after that night, they're hauled up in each other's houses studying for school and their craft. Alisa loves her new found power, she now feels like she has a purpose in life. Learning how to control the gift is harder while asleep, so Joan sleeps beside Alisa for an entire month, giving her wonderful dreams of happiness. Soon her gifts are under control. It's almost Samhain, the girls need to be ready for that night, it's the time of the year, when the living can interact with their dead and their ancestors. This year it's all about the ancestors because there has been too much dark magick used, not just by Agnes, they've all used it at some point but they need to make sure that the coven is cleansed. The ancestors will control Agnes, she knows this, which is why she's been laying low for a while.

The girls are not allowed to wear costumes that represent their craft, they must choose different ones. Alisa chooses to be a murdered nurse, Marielle like every year, is a vampire. Marielle read a book at Alisa's it was written by an ancestor of theirs, saying on their travels in Europe in the 1600's they came across one, so Marielle asks her aunt Iris do they exist? Iris says, "what do you believe?" Marielle says that she feels like it's superstition, but she doesn't have proof. Iris says I'll tell you a little story, "about 30/40 years ago, I was in a bar in New York, I was on a sabbatical from college, the bar after hours, had these men and women enter, they hand picked people and fed from them, not just from their necks but their wrists." Iris then said, "before you heard about witches and witchcraft, did you believe in it?" Marielle said, "no, I thought it was all superstition." Iris says, "then you've answered your own question, I have seen them. They apparently fear witches. They've used witches over the years, I have further reading if you'd like to know?" Marielle said, "yes, I'd like that. I really want to know if they exist." Iris gives Marielle books she wrote, books other witches have wrote. Marielle has some new bedtime reading.

Marielle read the book that Iris wrote, the evidence was compelling so far, then she read what other witches wrote. Some feared them, the others learned how to control them using herbs and simple flowers that grow wild all over the place. Marielle goes on a mission, she wants to track one down by herself, so she learns all about what controls them should she find one, Marielle heads to just outside Salem, where a nest of vampires live or at least they did live. Marielle arrives at a town called Danvers, she goes to an address that was in the book. It was still daylight, she realises she needs to get back soon, for Samhain, so If today is a dead end, she will continue her search. At the address in the book, a woman opens the door, she goes to shut it, but Marielle puts her foot in the door. The woman asks what do you want? Marielle says, "it seems you know what I am, I'm just here to certify a myth." The woman says, "you're here to see if vampires live here?" Marielle says, "how astute, then you must know what I am and you're probably a vampire?" The woman says, "I can't confirm nor deny that." Marielle says, "ok, I think you're a vampire." The woman says she isn't, but the people who own the house are, "I'm just a member of their staff, they taught me how to spot witches, the smell of sandalwood gave you away. They're not here, they leave every witches Sabbat. They'll be back after the next Sabbat." Marielle then asks, "to be clear, you've just confirmed it. They do live here, they're not at home now, may I come in? The woman says, "Ok, you have 10 minutes and I want you gone, what do you want to know?" Marielle enters, the house is beautiful on the inside, it is definitely lived in by more than one person, there are men and women's clothes lay around. The woman tells her that "there's two sisters and three brothers that live here. They flee when it's a Sabbat, they do return. So if you want come back after Samhain and I'll introduce you to the nicest of the bunch. I'm basically their maid, every time I leave, they find me and make me return to them, for reasons I don't know. Leave me your number and I'll call you once they return." Marielle thanks her and drives home.
