The covens meet to discuss the new baby, they discuss how the baby will have ultimate power. The majority of the covens are acceptive of the baby's arrival and what gifts he or she will be given, for the baby to be given such gifts, something must be on the horizon for them all. The battle that they've been warned about, the battles they've had before, must've been tests of their abilities? The covens that are frightened, tell the group that they need to research more. The elders suggest that the baby being given these powers, is usually a sign that a huge change is on the way. The seers, the psychics, the tarot readers of every coven meet, they soon get a tiny glimpse of what's to come. It's not good but it's not bad either.
Marielle and Celeste have their scans together, they're similar in weeks of gestation, their babies will be due around the same time. It feels weird as she's her stepmom, Marielle is suffering severe morning sickness, Celeste isn't getting it as bad, but the sonographer calls her back, they want to run a second scan. Marielle and Celeste had just drove out of the hospital parking lot when she gets the call. Celeste turns back, they go into the room, Celeste is upset thinking something is wrong and the fact James isn't here, he's in D.C. tying up loose ends before moving to Salem permanently. When Celeste gets on the bed in the sonogram room, they put the gel back on her tummy, they run the scanner over her womb, Celeste is carrying twins. They're in the same sac which indicates that the babies are identical. Celeste calls James and puts him on FaceTime, he sees his babies for the first time, he's dancing around his office, he's like a child at Christmas. Celeste is begging him to return home quickly, he tells her that he'll be back in Salem in two days.
Marielle is excited, not only is she getting her own special little one, but she's getting two siblings, something she's wished for. Celeste calls her mom from the hospital, Joan panics thinking that something is wrong with her or the baby? Celeste says, "mom, don't panic they're doing ok." Joan says, "repeat that honey, did you say they? As in more than one?" Celeste tells her she is having twins, they're healthy and she's almost 4 months gone. Celeste was wondering why she was showing so quickly. Joan tells her, "I'm just off the phone with my cousin Alice, she's told me that Alisa has skipped town, there's a possibility she's taken a flight to Australia." Joan says she has family in Australia, that's where Joan came from originally, so she contacted her sister, who's also a witch, she does a locator spell and it's true, Alisa is in Australia, she is trying her hardest to find dark witches to help get her powers back but she's failing. Alice believes that there will be someone in Oz that will help her for a price. Joan freezes her bank account, Joan only gave her $2000, she's been away almost four months, most of that money will be gone. Alice tells her, that Alisa has stolen some jewellery, that will fetch her at least $10,000, Joan advises Alice to report the jewellery as stolen in Australia, then maybe the police will catch up with her and deport her back to New Zealand and a theft that large, she may be jailed. Could this be the threat that everyone is seeing coming? Will Alisa find someone that will help her get the powers back? Joan contacts the elders, who in turn contact the seers and the sight of the covens, to see if it's Alisa that's the threat? Many suggest that it might be her, if she is able to fence the stolen jewellery, she will be able to pay a dark practitioner? Although she won't get her birth given gifts, she can obtain new ones. Even though she's been bound, she's still a born witch.
The elders, including all the families tell Marielle and Celeste to focus on their pregnancies and their lives. They'll come to that bridge when the situation shows itself. The police is looking for Alisa all over Australia, but if she has sold the jewellery, she will have money to pay a dark witch. Alisa will be cloaked with dark magick, the only person that would be able to penetrate it, is Marielle, if she taps into the powers of her unborn baby. The eyes of the covens meet, they do a ritual and Marielle is learning how to tap into the baby's power source, which she does, she finds Alisa on the first try, she's hiding out in a house in what's called the bush in those parts of the world, she is surrounded by darkness. The eyes were right, it's Alisa that the battle will come from. Marielle hears Alisa say, "I will swoop upon those bastards once those newborns arrive." The elders tell Marielle and Celeste not to worry, to enjoy their pregnancies, that the covens will be the safest place for them. Marielle doesn't feel like a high priestess at the moment, she feels vulnerable, but she knows she must be strong and get stronger.
James is now living in Salem permanently, he becomes a crystal magick teacher, it's what he's mastered. Not many non born witches gain powers in the way he has, he truly has a gift for it. He and Celeste set about building their little home, getting his law firm off the ground. They decorated the nursery for the twins, they didn't have a sexing scan, they just decorated it in neutral colours so it fits for either sex. Marielle and Marc buy their first home, it's as old as Salem itself, it's in need of renovation from the basement up, Marc was good with his hands, he had the house in a liveable condition within two months, by this time Marielle's belly was huge, she passed her residency at the hospital, she became the doctor she always wanted. Marielle's father asked her did she want a practice of her own? Marielle has always wanted her own surgery, so her father had a surgery built for her. Marielle didn't charge for her work, she treated the surgery like it was in England, where the prescriptions were free, the diagnosis' were free too. Most of her patients were the witches who didn't want pharmaceuticals, Marielle made potions instead. The patients that did, she was able to get a pharma company that would give her meds if she advertised in her surgery, Marielle agrees to this as long as those that need it, get them for free. Marielle never wanted to become a doctor to become rich, Marc doesn't want to be a lawyer to become rich either he simply wants to help other people.
