The festival of Samhain is upon the residents of Salem, witches and humans alike. It's the towns most prosperous time of the year, tourists from across the world visit, paranormal investigators too, they always try and summon the dead, especially those that died during the trials of 1692. The witches of the town hate that part, especially as the people that the puritans killed were innocent people. The witches of the town always throw a spanner in the works of the investigators, so those people rest in peace. The witches meet, they meet in Iris's barn, there's more room in there, each different coven offer their gifts, they promise that they will protect the residents and tourists alike. They head out with the kids for trick or treat. The kids have an amazing evening. Although Marielle is still focused on her vampire theory. Once the evening is drawing to a close, the witches meet in the barn, each family in their own surroundings by their own altars. Iris and Marielle call out to their ancestors, a group of distant ancestors arrive in the pentagram, all like Marielle's mom, corporeal, then in comes Agnes, she is pulled into the circle, they lie her down, they chant an incantation, she shakes violently. The ancestors hold her down, they repeat it over and over and suddenly a dark shadow emerges from her body, the witches have a tome prepared, they direct the dark shadow into the tome, they seal it and it's taken by the ancestors with them. They feel she is cured, but they sense more from her, but the worst one is gone. It's almost time for them to return, they tell Iris and Marielle that Agnes is still shunned until she gets rid of all the darkness. Agnes is then sucked out of the barn and lands outside the property line of Iris's house. The witches leave, Iris and Marielle head inside for some hot chocolate and marshmallows. They sit and talk, they seem tired and they both head to bed. Marielle knows that Samhain is over, she plans to be back in Danvers by the weekend. Marielle doesn't want to go alone this time, she asks Alisa to come with her. Alisa says that she will.

On Saturday after work, Marielle picks Alisa up, they drive to Danvers, Alisa asks her why she is going? She tells her and laughs, saying vampires don't exist. Marielle tries to convince her that they do. Marielle asks Alisa how her first Sabbat went? "Alisa said it was amazing, I got to meet my ancestors. I got to hug my grandma whom died four years ago." Marielle says, "see, I told you that you would embrace this wonderful life." Alisa says, "I understand now, I'm just pissed that Celeste is shirking her duties but, mom says she must live her life, she will come home soon." Marielle says, "yes, she's with my dad, they're in love. I feel he's going to marry her." Alisa says, "wow, this will make us related, which means our covens must amalgamate?" Marielle tells her she didn't know that. They soon arrive in Danvers, by now Alisa is nervous, but Marielle calms her by telling her to remember what she's learned.

They arrive at the house, it's dark so almost every light is on. Alisa says, "we should come back in the morning, they have us at an advantage in the dark." Marielle says, "on the way, I've made you drink that water with vervain and I've got sleeping powder in my pocket." Alisa says, "ok, let's get this over with." They get out of the car, they walk toward the door, as they approached the door, the door is opened and a voice says, "come in, like they've been expecting them." They walk into the house and the door slams behind them, they turn around and a man is stood behind them, he says, "welcome witches, we've been expecting you. Don't worry, we may have bad reputations but we are not just eating and killing machines." Marielle and Alisa walk into a living room, there's the woman from her first visit, then three other women and two men. They individually introduced themselves, the women were called Sarah, Giovanna, and the woman who answered the door was called Isabell, the men were called Greg and Thomas. Thomas was the most considerate of the bunch, he fixed the girls some drinks, he then says, "our housekeeper Isabell told us you called a week ago, you're here to dispel a myth, that vampires exist?" Thomas stands up, he says, "Isabell come here darling, please cut your wrist?" Isabell cuts her wrist, then Thomas feeds from her. The girls see for themselves that vampires are real. Thomas says, "i take it you're satisfied?" The girls say yes, we'll be off now. The women Sarah and Giovanna, beg Thomas can they feed on them? Thomas scolds them, "no you cannot, they're witches and for what they wanted to see, I reckon they owe us one?" Greg asks, "what can they do for us?" Thomas says, "you want to walk outside in the daytime? Well, these girls are witches, they can help?" Marielle states  "we're new at this? How can we help?" "You can make us daylight rings, you might not have done it before, but we have the spell, you both just need to say it over these stones and these pieces of silver." Marielle and Alisa ask to get other ingredients, they need some blood. Each give them a drop of their blood. As soon as all the ingredients are in the bowl, they say the spell and the rings are made. Thomas then says you're free to go now.

Marielle and Alisa drive home, Marielle telling Alisa on the way to not tell her mom, Alisa says she must. Marielle says "ok, then tell them they forced us?" Alisa agreed. Marielle tells her aunt Iris. Iris and Joan are pissed that the girls made them daylight rings, this means they can walk in the daylight. They removed their rings because they caused havoc in this town for decades. The girls were banned from Danvers forever. That if the vampires return to this town, that they alone will have to take them down. Marielle got Thomas's number before he left, she told him that if they come to Salem that they'll be taken down. Thomas promises that they won't return. Now they can move about in the daytime, they can have somewhat normal lives. Thomas thanks her and promises to leave Massachusetts. The next time she got a call from Thomas they were in Florida. Marielle and Thomas keep in contact, he asks her to make further rings, but she tells him that was a one time deal, to find another witch, there's no shortage of witches that will help their friends. He agrees and says he'll call again soon. Thomas's somewhat normal life comes to an abrupt end, he was in hiding in Danvers, but he was being hunted by another group of vampires for the deaths of humans. He was warned once they began donating blood, that all blood he needed to survive was to come from a blood bag, but he ignored his elder and fed from humans, killing them. The others found he and his friends as they were leaving Florida and staked them all. This upset Marielle, she didn't know of his past, had she known she wouldn't have gave them the rings. Marielle believes that his death and the deaths of the others as karmic retribution. He deserved it. Marielle was warned that she isn't to get involved with vampire business again, or her powers would be stripped from her. Marielle swears she won't. That part of her life is finished at least that's what she thinks.
