Marielle is blessed as the high priestess of every coven in Salem. Every witch must seek her permission for everything, it's a hard task, but she handles it well, with Marc and Iris by her side, Marielle rose so high in such a sort period of time, this worries her father, but he knows she has Marc by her side. Iris had to stand aside as no one could heal her fragile bones or remove the curse her vengeful sister put on her. Celeste must even seek permission from Marielle before doing spells and teaching James. The upside to James being a practising witch, is the fact he's getting his job done quicker, his deployment will be over before the time he was assigned at the beginning of the job. The quicker he finishes the quicker he's in Salem on a permanent basis. James has got to work on his new law firm in Salem, hiring Marc as a paralegal. This gives them both lives outside the craft. Marielle may have been focused on her new status, she worked towards her doctors degree, she flew through each class, each test she passed with distinction. Then Marielle gets a job in a local hospital, she is still a doctor in training but because of her intelligence, she is learning very quickly, that her mentor suggests that she takes an extra course at the same time. Marielle agrees as it'll give her more of a chance when she opens her own practice.

The Sabbat of Ostara is upon them, Marielle presides over her dad and Celeste's wedding, it felt weird she's marrying her father to someone other than her mother, but on the day, her mother is there, she is watching from afar, seeing James happy, seeing how Celeste has turned his life around. James wasn't always the greatest of husbands or father, but he was a great man and very loving, Celeste changed him in ways that Marianne wished he changed into, while she was alive. Marianne whispers her ex husband's name, he comes to her, she hugs him and tells him, "a storm is coming, be the man I've always wanted you to be, not work focused, but a great husband and father, our daughter is powerful but soon enough she'll need the entire covens. I can't say much more, Jamie, but promise me, you'll be by her side and your wife's, they'll need you." James says, "Marianne, I will always love you, I'm glad your spirit is still guiding us, I'm sorry I was a shit husband, but from this day, those vows I've just taken will be taken seriously. I'm sorry I failed you." Marianne kisses him and her daughter goodbye and wishes them good luck, leaving behind a stone and a list of herbs that they'll need for the battle ahead. Soon it becomes clear what's happened. Agnes has been following Marielle everywhere she has went since arriving in Salem, she has been turned by Sarah's sister. Agnes is now a vampire. They will put her down as there's no reversal, but before the battle commences, they celebrate the marriage and amalgamation of three covens, after today, Alisa will be Marielle's step aunt, this will assure that she won't ever try and make a move towards her again, her mother will bind her powers if she does, besides Marielle can also bind them, given that she is the high priestess of all three familial covens.

Marielle tracks Agnes, she is running with her new vampire family outside of Massachusetts. So, Marielle with Marc tracks her down. Agnes is feeding from innocent humans, she's killing them. They are furious, Agnes may be physically stronger than Marielle and Marc, but with their combined powers, they're both very powerful beings. They rent a room in a house, it's directly facing the house that Agnes lives in with about 20 vampires, vampires she sired herself. Marielle calls Sarah, she tells her that if her sister is with Agnes and she gets in the way, she might get killed. Sarah begins to cry saying, "Agnes drove a stake into Lenora, I'm alone, those vampires are from Agnes, I need help In avenging my little sister." Marielle tells her, that's why she's near Agnes, that she's being put down. Sarah warns her that the vampires she sired will do all she asks so be careful. Sarah says, "to make sure she is killed, you need to bait her back to Salem, it's where you're strongest, Agnes with that many vampires will overcome you." Marielle and Marc discuss it, Marc agrees, telling her "she's right, one of us would get killed." They send her a letter from Salem, asking her to come to be pardoned. Agnes believed the letter, she arrived in Salem, she didn't arrive alone, she came with around 10 of her sire line. Marielle realises this is the battle her mother means. Being a vampire means that Agnes can't cross the thresholds of homes she could once enter, so, Marielle and Marc rent a house, they invite her to the house, Marielle notices that her vamps have daylight rings. While Agnes is in the house, her vamps surround it. They threaten to kill as many people as necessary if their sire doesn't come out alive. Marielle knew, that once Agnes is killed, her sire lines die with her, this is something that Agnes didn't know. Agnes sits down, they give her a drink, she asked for some coffee, Agnes will have known about vervain, but to mask the taste, they added some dragons blood, it would mask the taste. Agnes drank the coffee and soon she was weak, they doubled the dose, so that she couldn't scream, she would just collapse. They took her to the room they prepared, they laid her on the bed, Iris is in the room, it was Iris that took the honour of driving a stake into her heart. Agnes goes up in flames, her sire line all disappeared into dust. Then it occurred to Marielle, that this battle was too easy, something worse must be on the horizon. Marc tells her, "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Iris takes her sisters ashes, she puts them in an urn and has them buried in the family plot. Iris was relieved but she was also sad, Agnes was still her sister, but her quest for power made her vulnerable to seek it from anywhere. Marielle is still preoccupied by the words her mother said, then it hit her, it was Alisa. The only person that would dare challenge her and her position as she had always wanted to be high priestess is Alisa. This is a battle that may shatter the witches of Salem or bring them together?
