Alisa is caged in the towns old jail cells, the ones the tourists come to see, the ones where the so called witches of 1692 lived and died in. Alisa is in there for months, they can't come up with any solid ways of dealing with her. The truth is, Alisa is still human, she is still a witch, she may be a dark practitioner now, but she's still a child of the town. They finally decide on what to do, they should exorcise the dark forces out of her. Then they'll decide her final fate, even as a witch she tried to kill her own and as the rules have always stated, "to kill ones own, you shall suffer the same fate." Marielle suggests that the children could heal her, but being young and innocent, her darkness could corrupt them? Then Marielle suggests she should try on her own. Marielle blames herself for Alisa's path she chose. Marielle visits Alisa in the cells, she brings with her food and water, some clean clothes and things to wash. Alisa refuses to see her at first, then she reneges and says, "hey, I hear you're a mom now, with your own surgery, good for you. You've finally got your dreams?" Marielle says, "Alisa, I'm not here for idle chit chat, I'm here to discuss why you wanted us all dead?" Alisa laughs, "are you really that stupid? You blow into town, you're placed in a position of power, a power that was rightfully mine, you didn't even know you were a witch. Yet, you come here and all of a sudden you're queen of the town." Marielle replies, "so, you're jealous I'm high priestess? You're jealous I'm happy, I'm married and I have a daughter? You're jealous I'm not with you? That's what this is all about, Alisa? You and me."
Alisa, suddenly goes quiet, she then says, "you've nailed it, I am jealous of you Marielle, of your life, your love, of everything you've got. I loved you, I wanted all this with you." Marielle says, "Alisa, I'm here to bring you some food, some water and something to clean yourself up with, not rehash old history with you. I loved you too, Alisa, but I wasn't in love with you. The only thing good about us was the sex." Alisa quietens, she eats the food, she changes and suddenly she's having something like a seizure on the floor. The food has diluted hemlock in it, it also has diluted herbs that will help the darkness leave her. The problem is, it doesn't. It makes her stronger. Although she's in a magically sealed cell, she almost breaks out. Irianne must've sensed her mother was in danger, she sealed the cell further, making it unbreakable. Then Marielle feels something after that, it seems her daughter has left her a gift before being born, she now has another power, she can shapeshift into anything. This will help in ways that Alisa won't see coming, once Irianne helped seal the cell, she had a vision, she sees herself as an animal. Alisa tries to mock her, she says, "aww, you need your baby daughter to fight your battles now, are you losing your powers?" Marielle ignores her, she leaves the cell and heads home.
Marielle tells Marc and he can't believe it, then she must tell the whole covens of her new gift. They're shocked, they can't believe it actually exists, no witch has wielded it for centuries. The last witch to have it, left Salem before the trials began, they didn't believe that, that witch wielded it either. It was never seen in action before, no doubt it was back in those days, but like always they have no proof. Marielle must meditate, she must find out a way to trigger it. Marielle is taken with her covens to a meeting circle, they, watch as she transforms in to a cat. Then she turns back to herself. The group are amazed, they of course recorded it, although with all things witchy, Marielle being high priestess and the recording being her, she has it magically hidden.
The months past, it's the babies first birthday, they throw a massive triple party for all three. The town is in celebration mode, Alisa hears it from her cell, she calls her mom and asks to be free from the cell, she tries to make her mom believe that she has renounced the dark magick, but the tone of her voice tells her that she's lying. Joan as she's hanging up the phone says, "it's hard for me to say this Alisa, as you're still my little girl, but under no circumstances call me again." Joan hangs up, she calls Marielle telling her that we need to stop her permanently. Marielle says, "Joan, I hate to ask this especially now as a mother myself, I understand your struggles, but do you mean we must burn her?" Joan tells that it must be the way, Alisa is no longer a witch in my eyes, she will burn this town to the ground if she manages to get free? Marielle says, "we'll try once more to get rid of the dark magick, if we don't succeed, then there will be a pyre with her name on it." Joan begins to cry, then says angrily, "Marielle, I sometimes think this is your fault, had she not fallen in love with you, she would be ok." Marielle says, "excuse me, Joan but I didn't love her in way she wanted. That's not my fault." Joan apologises and hangs up the phone.
Marielle takes Irianne and Marc with her to the cells, Marielle casts a sleep spell on Alisa, she Marc and irianne enter the cell, Irianne, Marc and Marielle puts their hands on her head, her heart and her stomach. They say some magical words, something happens, but it doesn't expel the darkness, Marielle sees it's got stronger but she can't see why. They leave the cell. Marielle concocts a plan, she has a gift that Alisa doesn't know about, at least she shouldn't know. Marielle enters the cells as a rat, she sees Alisa using blood magick for powers. Now Marielle knows how to stop her. Marielle has her blood frozen, with only her heart staying beating. Alisa is very powerful, but with her blood frozen, she can't use blood magick anymore. The darkness inside her will make her see another path. Marielle tells Joan that she can't expel the darkness from Alisa, there is one final try? Joan asks what? Marielle says, if we find a dark magick practitioner, it might help? Joan says, "no, we've done enough. She can't be saved. We set the pyre for the next full moon." Marielle can't accept it, even though she knows she's right, she will seek out a dark practitioner and find something that'll save her.
