To say Corpse was freaking out was an understatement.
Here he was, laying on his couch with this gorgeous girl, and he didn't think he deserved it. He also didn't understand the way he was feeling. Why his stomach felt light and fluttered when she smiled, why her laugh was his favorite sound currently. He would try to do everything in his power to hear her laugh. But there was the side of him that was completely overthinking it all. He knew they had only just met, and he was sure the feelings he had weren't reciprocated back to him; or at least he thought.
Decided he needed to stop rabbit holing, he decided to call his best friend, Sykkuno. He always seemed to know how to help Corpse in these situations.
"Hel-"
"Help me please," Corpse begged. He was freaking out, his feelings were taking over and he wasn't used to it.
"Whats wrong?" Sykkuno questioned.
"Valerie is cuddling with me," He answered quickly, his heart still racing.
"And thats a bad thing because...."
"BECAUSE- because Sykkuno. I haven't felt this way about anyone in a long time. And what about my health conditions. I've only been getting worse and I couldn't put her through all that," Corpse whispered as to not wake the sleeping girl. Little did he know, his shouting had already woken her as she silently listened.
"Corpse, thats not really your choice to make. If she's happy with you and you're happy with her you should be together. Maybe take it slow, but you can't just push her out entirely," Sykkuno spoke softly, "and I have a suspicion you have no reason to worry Corpse."
"Thank you Sykkuno, I'll talk to her when she's up," Corpse finally had calmed down.
"No problem Corpse, I'm always here,"

A few minutes later, Valerie "woke up", although she was already awake she wouldn't let Corpse know that. She thought she would be nervous, but to her surprise she felt relieved. She knew she was beginning to have growing feelings for the man, and she would tell him when the time felt right.
Although she was relieved, she was unhappy to see that she had now "woken up," alone. Assuming Corpse had a good reason, and hearing the blaring music down the hallway, she knew he hadn't left. Valerie made her way down the hallway, the music becoming louder with each step.
break a mirror yeah I'll fucking break a mirror
As she drew nearer, she could tell Corpse was listening to his song 'Miss YOU!'. It was a song she had grew fond of recently, because it had been the only thing she played for almost a week straight. She opened the door quietly, as to not startle Corpse.
glass shatter, gums bleed off the fucking Everclear
eyes red mind race fuckin wish that you were here
I was really fucking hoping it be different this year
Although the music was loud, she could still hear Corpse's breathed singing, which Valerie found adorable. It was fun to watch him sing and dance to something he was so proud of. Watching how happy he looked, Valerie knew she would always support him; no matter what.
she optimistic, not me (don't come back)
no quiero estar aquí
woe is me, l'appel du vide
she still want me, c'est la vie
While Valerie stood there, Corpse was singing his song; and thinking about confessing to Valerie. He knew that he was bad at relationships. He was bad at telling anyone how he was feeling ever. He felt like talking about what was bothering him was only a burden to put on people who had much bigger problems. Although, Valerie knew her problems were the least of her concerns when it came to Corpse. She would be by his side even if he called at 4 am.
I can't even leave my place without hidin' my face
just a glamorized desk job rotting away
I ain't even got friends, feel like everyone's fake
really prayin for the day the reaper take me away
break a mirror yeah I'll fuckin break a mirror
glass shatter, gums bleed, off the fuckin' Everclear
eyes red, mind race, fucking wish that you were here
I was really fucking hoping it'd be different this year
"I don't wanna look like this, fuck" Corpse spoke.
"I think you look great," Valerie answered. Corpse jumped, turning around as quickly as possible.
"Jesus Christ Valerie!" He chuckled. Little did he know, he had taken his face mask off to sing and Valerie was amazed. She walked closer to him, putting her hands on his cheeks. The moment was enchanting for both of them.
"How long have you been standing there?" He asked, looking into her beautiful blue eyes.
"Since the song started, basically," She giggled, letting go of his cheeks. Corpse could feel himself craving her touch. He grabbed her, not too forcefully, but not gently either, hugging her. A crimson red color spread across her face, and he could tell she was blushing.
"I was thinking, do you want to do a stream together. I had the artist who did my lobby screen for my stream draw a version of you next me for it if you were okay with that," He stumbled over his words. Valerie could tell he was nervous to ask, and she found it even more endearing. She turned her head to look at him, still hugging, and nodded. She gave him a reassuring smile before going to wash up for the stream.
